The Role: As a Site Fitter, you will be responsible for the installation of joinery in commercial buildings to the highest standard. You will work with a skilled team to bring our bespoke designs to life on-site. We are looking to recruit experienced Bench Joiners to join our small, friendly, skilled team in Hinckley, Leicestershire. The Role You will have the opportunity to work with a variety of materials including solid wood, veneers, solid surface and laminate to manufacture, assemble and finish bespoke joinery to an exceptionally high standard. Successful candidates will have: NVQ/City & Guilds Level 2 (or equivalent) in Bench Joinery, Carpentry & Joinery, or Hand-Crafted Furniture. Proven experience as a Bench Joiner in a workshop/furniture environment, working accurately from technical drawings and specification Experience in using a variety of wood working machinery and hand tools An eye for detail and pride in their craftsmanship CSCS card (desirable) In addition to competitive pay (including overtime) , we offer early finish Fridays , free refreshments and workwear and access to our cycle-to-work & tech scheme . Joinery Estimator Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire LE10 3DS Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 (depending on experience) Employment Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Office based Eximious Furniture Ltd design , manufacture and install bespoke corporate furniture and joinery. Delivering specialist joinery and fit out contracts, we have worked on some of the most prestigious commercial projects in London. The Role We are seeking an experienced Joinery Estimator to join our commercial team. From first point of contact to site survey and maintaining communications with the client, the role of estimator is critical to the success of every project. Key Responsibilities Providing accurate and detailed quote s for bespoke joinery items from drawings, specifications and client instructions Performing site surveys, obtaining accurate measurements, and drawing up plans to present to the site team Liaising with the team on tender submissions Communicating effectively with clients, ensuring expectations and practicality are balanced Taking design briefs and offering value engineering solutions Reviewing subcontractor and supplier quotations Ordering materials (such as metal, glass and stone) and services as required Carrying out final negotiations, tracking project variations, and compiling final accounts Improving the efficiency of the process from enquiry to proposal Reviewing drawings to ensure accurate reflection of the quote, identifying potential cost savings and they remain within requirements Attending and participating in production and site meetings, ensuring actions are relayed and completed Issuing production orders and monitoring costs/spend The successful candidates will have: Knowledge of the joinery industry in a pre-contracts/estimating role A strong understanding of joinery construction Familiarity with bought in sub-contract suppliers The ability to work on multiple tenders and quotations at any one time Willingness to travel as required (UK but predominantly London based), visiting sites (CSCS card would be an advantage) A flexible, self-starter approach with the ability to prioritise Analytical and problem solving skills Excellent customer service skills An understanding of CAD (ability to draw would be an advantage) Good general IT skills and knowledge of Microsoft office How to Apply Please click to apply today.
