Were looking for a creative Designer / Buyer to join the team on a permanent basis. The Role As a Designer / Buyer, you will create garment collections for the companys portfolio of brands consistent with brand objectives, while affording a commercial attitude and efficient performance in delivering seasonal collections. You will control all aspects of product development, ensuring each new collection is developed in line with brand DNA, falls within desired cost structures, and that the appropriate quality standard is achieved and maintained. You will create and maintain all style and size specifications for new collection samples and bulk production alike. You will also develop appropriate branding presentation in line with brand guidelines. The successful candidate will be trend aware and have a strong eye for design, able to create dynamic, commercial and innovative collections. The role will require the successful candidate to have: - Previous experience as a designer is essential. - Previous experience in creating fashion garment collections is desirable. - Relevant degree qualification in fashion or design is desirable. - Excellent CAD skills and IT ability. Experience in CorelDRAW / Illustrator / Photoshop is desirable. Our entire product portfolio is designed in-house, manufactured offshore, shipped to our headquarters in Carrickfergus, and distributed to retailers across the UK, ROI and Europe. Were looking for a commercial Buyer to join the team on a permanent basis. The Role As Buyer, you will be responsible for the development and delivery of commercial collections for one of our product categories. You will play an integral part in the full product lifecycle, from initial sampling through to bulk production, ensuring each new collection is developed in line with Brand DNA, and that the appropriate Quality standard is achieved and maintained. You will co-ordinate the creation of comprehensive seasonal range plans, leveraging extensive sales analysis, as well as trend and market research, aligned to our sales and margin objectives. You will co-ordinate the sourcing of fabrics, trims and accessories, play a leading role in the product development process, and be the key liaison with an international supply base. You will be responsible for critical path management of all aspects of product development, buying and production. The successful candidate will be commercially aware, with a strong eye for fashion. The role will require the successful candidate to have: - Previous experience in a buying role is desirable. - Previous experience of preparing and planning a garment collection is desirable. - Experience of sourcing and selection of fabric, trims and accessories is desirable. - Excellent IT ability is essential. Strong capability with MS Office packages is desirable. - University level qualification is essential. - A full driving licence, valid passport and the willingness to travel when required.
