Key Responsibilities: Construct and build boxes and packing cases for export, following project specifications provided by the Logistics Coordinator. Apply international shipping symbols to export cases using indelible paint to ensure compliance with regulations. Accurately weigh all items prior to packing, recording details in the Weight Register. Weigh packed items, record weights and dimensions on the relevant works orders, and pass details to the Despatch office for further action. Calculate estimated weights and dimensions from drawings to support quotations. Ensure all goods packed for export meet customer specifications or internal packing standards as detailed on SharePoint. Operate hand-held air tools and electric saws safely and efficiently. Maintain a clean and tidy work area, particularly at the end of each shift. Carry out any additional duties as requested by the Logistics Coordinator or Operations Manager to support smooth operations. Person Specification: Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work in a practical, hands-on role within a team environment. Familiarity with basic measuring and weighing procedures. Physically fit and able to handle manual handling tasks safely.
