To support these ambitions, they need their first Head of IT to help define, deliver and steer the digital strategy. Taking control of a team of four and supporting 160 staff, this role provides strategic and operational leadership for technology and digital services. You will set and deliver the IT strategy and multi-year roadmap, lead and develop the IT team, establish governance and standards, identify and mitigate against risk, oversee third-party partners and drive continuous improvement and change. You will take ownership of infrastructure, infosec, ERP, eCommerce and web and be involved in the ongoing data strategy. With budgetary responsibility you will run IT, deliver projects and be a key pillar on the digital transformation board. Projects to focus on: New website including full eCommerce overhaul NetSuite optimisation DR and Cyber Security Tech debt consolidation General Automation (Ai) We are looking for you to be an experienced Head of IT with a proven track record of leading IT functions, commercial acumen, setting strategic direction and building high-performing teams. You will have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, able to influence, translate and explain as well as a strong governance, risk and control mindset around information security, data protection and more. Data Analyst / Report Writer SQL and Excel Clacton-on-Sea Must drive, due to location Around £35,000 p.a. plus benefits Are you an Excel wizard with strong SQL skills and a love of all things data? Are you ready to own data for a company, step up and be the reporting expert in the team? This is it. You love data, Excel is a old friend and you know SQL beyond joins and grouping. You excel at report writing and are craving the extra responsibility to be relied upon to be the report writer in the team. You want to work with expert colleagues who will support and challenge you, helping you be the best you can be. When I first went to see them, I met James and Matthew who have been there six and 14 years. Why? I asked. You love data but you also like talking with people, solving problems, investigating and supporting their reporting needs. Helping users with data requests, supporting the sales teams presentation with data, insights and more and preparing the boards quarterly report, meeting pack etc. with graphs, insights and information. Your SQL is strong but you want to refine it and learn more. Excel is your second language and you take pride in being a subject matter expert. You'll work in a close-knit team of 6 with great support from colleagues. You'll work most closely with Matt and James, the department leads, and take the reporting responsibility away from them (they will always be on hand to help, guide and support you). Career progression is real here, we'd expect you to become an internal expert and start gaining promotion within two years, forming knowledge across the systems and working towards SME (subject matter expert).
