We are now recruiting for a compassionate and dedicated Care Assistant to join our team at us Churcher Court, Gosport. About the Role As a Care Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing, dignity, and independence of our residents. Working alongside our experienced Senior Care Assistants and management team, you will provide person-centred care and support in a warm and welcoming environment. As our Care Assistant you will: Support residents with personal care, including washing, dressing, and toileting. Assist with meal preparation and serving. Help residents maintain and develop independent living skills. Contribute to care planning and resident reviews where appropriate. Promote residents' privacy, dignity, choice, and wellbeing at all times. Support social activities, events, and outings, encouraging resident participation. Maintain accurate records and complete required documentation. Report accidents, illnesses, maintenance issues, or concerns promptly. Follow Health & Safety procedures and organisational policies. Attend training, supervision sessions, and staff meetings. Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver outstanding care. What We're Looking For In order to be successful in this role you must have: Caring, reliable, and professional approach. Good communication skills. Patience and empathy when supporting older people. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends. Willingness to undertake training and development. It would be great if you had: NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (or willingness to work towards it). Previous experience caring for older people. A positive attitude and good sense of humour. We are now recruiting for a Finance Assistant to work closely with the Director of Finance and the wider management team. You will play a key role in supporting our financial management, gaining experience across finance, purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, resident accounts and finance administration. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride in accuracy, and wants to contribute to an organisation that provides valuable services to its residents and community. As our Finance Assistant you will: Process purchase and sales ledger transactions, including invoices, receipts and payments, ensuring accuracy and timely recording. Maintain supplier, customer, resident and financial records, resolving queries and discrepancies professionally. Support credit control activities, monitoring outstanding balances and assisting with income collection. Assist with bank, supplier and other account reconciliations, including petty cash and resident monies. Support the administration of resident personal accounts and expense records, maintaining strict confidentiality at all times. Assist with month-end, year-end and audit preparation activities, including the production of supporting documentation. Maintain accurate data across finance systems and contribute to process improvements and efficiencies. Build positive working relationships with colleagues, residents, families, suppliers, local authorities and other stakeholders. Ensure compliance with Trust policies, financial controls, data protection requirements and confidentiality standards. Provide general finance and administrative support and undertake other reasonable duties as required by the Director of Finance. In order to be successful in this role you must have: Previous experience in finance administration, purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control, accounts administration or a similar role. Good standard of general education with strong literacy and numeracy skills. Confident use of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong administrative and organisational skills. Ability to manage confidential information sensitively and professionally. Good verbal and written communication skills. Willingness to undertake relevant training and development. Ability to work between 22.5 and 30 hours per week and primarily office-based. It would be great if you had: AAT Level 2 or 3 qualification or willingness to work towards an agreed finance qualification. Experience within a charity, housing, care or not-for-profit environment. Experience managing resident accounts, client monies, petty cash or personal expense records. Experience supporting audits, year-end processes or payment runs. Experience using finance, housing, care or CRM systems. Strong Excel skills including formulas, sorting and filtering. Ability to identify and suggest process improvements. Working Pattern The final working pattern will be agreed with the successful candidate, subject to operational requirements.
