RC Fornax, a veteran-owned engineering consultancy operating within the aerospace and defence sectors, is looking for a Project Management Office (PMO) Coordinator to provide essential support to Project Managers and the wider delivery team. The role focuses on project coordination, governance, reporting and data analysis, ensuring accurate and timely information flows across our projects. Working closely with Project Managers and business stakeholders, you will support project reporting, forecasting and project controls, while also assisting in the management of lower-complexity Time & Materials engagements. Main Responsibilities Support Project Managers with the coordination and administration of projects, ensuring accurate and timely project information. Prepare and maintain project and portfolio dashboards, reports and performance metrics using Zoho Analytics, SQL and Microsoft Excel. Analyse project, resource and financial data to support forecasting, utilisation tracking and management decision-making. Monitor project performance against schedules, budgets, resource plans and key milestones, escalating risks, issues and variances where required. Support the delivery of lower-complexity Time & Materials engagements, including resource coordination, client reporting, purchase order tracking, timesheet approvals and invoicing support. Ensure compliance with project governance processes, including the review and coordination of Gate documentation and approvals. Support project mobilisation activities, including project setup, reporting structures, document control and project documentation. Maintain RAID logs and support effective communication between project teams, clients and internal stakeholders. Identify opportunities to improve PMO processes, reporting capabilities and data quality across the organisation. Requirements Essential Experience working within a PMO, project support, project coordination or similar project delivery environment. Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including reporting, analysis and dashboard creation. Working knowledge of SQL, with the ability to create and maintain queries for reporting and analysis purposes. Experience producing project, operational or management reports using business intelligence or data visualisation tools. Strong organisational, communication and stakeholder management skills. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities. Proactive, adaptable and solution-focused approach. Desirable Experience using Zoho Analytics to develop reports and dashboards. Experience supporting resource planning, utilisation reporting and project financial tracking. We are seeking an experienced Health and Safety Manager to provide technical leadership and assurance for critical life safety systems within a complex, high-risk environment. The role is responsible for ensuring compliance, reliability, and operational readiness of systems including fire detection, fire suppression, emergency lighting, smoke control, confined space safety systems, and emergency egress infrastructure. Key Responsibilities Act as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for life safety systems. Lead compliance, governance, and assurance activities in line with statutory and regulatory requirements. Manage the lifecycle of life safety systems, including maintenance, testing, validation, installation, and commissioning. Conduct technical audits, inspections, and risk assessments. Lead incident investigations and provide root cause analysis and recommendations. Review and approve designs, modifications, and new installations. Provide technical oversight of contractors and service providers. Support projects through design reviews, FAT/SAT, commissioning, and handover. Maintain accurate asset records and technical documentation. Develop training and competency programmes for engineers, contractors, and end users. Experience using digital asset and compliance management systems. Qualifications Degree in Engineering, Construction, Safety Management, or a related discipline. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced hardware engineer to contribute to the development of innovative sonar and maritime systems used in challenging and mission-critical environments. The successful candidate will be involved throughout the engineering lifecycle, from requirements definition and system architecture through to integration, testing and verification. Key Responsibilities Develop and formalise hardware specifications for sonar and underwater acoustic systems. Define hardware requirements, interfaces, functionality and performance characteristics for sonar subsystems and associated equipment. Support system architecture activities through modelling, simulation, prototyping and trade studies. Design, develop and integrate electronic hardware for advanced sonar and maritime sensing applications. Develop circuitry associated with acoustic transducers, hydrophones, transmitters, receivers and data acquisition systems. Contribute to the design of beam-forming, signal acquisition, amplification, filtering and signal-conditioning hardware. Produce verification plans, test procedures and acceptance criteria for hardware subsystems. Conduct integration, fault-finding, troubleshooting and root-cause analysis activities on complex electronic systems. Analyse test and operational data to identify opportunities for performance improvement and optimisation. Support hardware qualification, verification and validation activities throughout the development lifecycle. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including systems, software and mechanical engineers to deliver integrated solutions. Required Experience & Knowledge Proven experience developing complex hardware systems within defence, maritime, aerospace or other safety-critical industries. Strong understanding of electronic hardware design principles and engineering best practices. Experience applying Design for Manufacture (DfM) and Design for Test (DfT) methodologies. Knowledge of sonar systems, underwater acoustics and maritime technologies. Experience working with subsea or underwater equipment and an understanding of associated environmental challenges. Awareness of current and emerging technologies within sonar, sensing and underwater systems. Ability to generate clear and comprehensive technical documentation, specifications and engineering artefacts. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience investigating complex technical issues. Desirable Experience Experience with beam-forming systems and signal-processing hardware. Experience supporting IVVQ (Integration, Verification, Validation and Qualification) activities for complex systems. Experience developing and applying engineering plans, verification strategies, test procedures and evidence-based assurance approaches. Familiarity with engineering lifecycle and requirements management tools such as DOORS, JIRA or equivalent platforms. Ability to analyse technical data and present engineering evidence, risks, issues and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities. Experience working effectively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
