You'll be joining as a Process Scientist within our Water Quality department that ensure the safe and efficient operation of our water treatment works. It's your process science knowledge and ability to find the right solutions that will enable you to engage with colleagues around the business on water treatment issues. You'll want to use your water treatment knowledge to contribute to the implementation of operating methods, monitoring of activities and the optimisation of water quality and performance throughout our production and distribution network. It's your logical, methodical approach that help you to investigate water quality issues and give sound advice on the best course of corrective actions. You're self-motivated, well organised with the ability to influence decisions. Ideally, you'll have a detailed knowledge of water treatment process. What will you mainly be responsible for delivering? Optimise the performance and maximise the efficiency of water treatment processes. Investigate the cause of compliance/operational water quality breaches. Provide a comprehensive report detailing the findings and conclusions of the investigation. Undertake water treatment works site process audits in a timely manner. Prepare technical reports with conclusions & recommendations as required. Provision of technical support and advice to the business. To provide standby Water Quality cover out of hours for the business. What do you bring to the role? Ideally you will already have Process Scientist experience. Or you will be in another scientific role within the water industry. You're qualified with a science degree, although consideration will be given to capable individuals with a process water treatment background. You're self-motivated, committed and organised with a knowledge of water treatment processes. The role requires a full driving license. What can you expect from us? The desk-based part of the role can be carried out our Water Quality offices at Farnborough (Hampshire), Pembury (Kent) or at home. The successful applicant will be given a Company van as part of the role for site visits. IT and office equipment. A competitive salary.
