The CAD Designer/Technician role: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CAD Designer/Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will use computer-aided design (CAD) software to create accurate technical drawings and designs for a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality standards and precision. Hours: Monday to Thursday 7:30am 4:30pm Friday 7:30am 12:30pm Overtime is available Tuesday Thursday till 6.00pm and Saturday 7:30am 11:30am Key Responsibilities of our CAD Designer/Technician: Developing detailed 2D and 3D drawings, schematics, and models using CAD software (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Revit, or other related tools). Collaborating with project managers, engineers, and designers to ensure the designs meet specifications and project requirements. Modifying and updating existing CAD drawings based on changes in project requirements, client feedback, or design improvements. Reviewing and verifying technical drawings for accuracy, dimensions, and compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Preparing design layouts, product assemblies, and parts drawings. Assisting in the creation of prototypes and assist in testing and validation of designs. Maintaining organised design files and documentation for easy retrieval and future reference. Ensuring timely completion of design tasks while maintaining a high level of accuracy and quality. Troubleshooting and resolving design issues in collaboration with the engineering team. Staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends, tools, and CAD software updates. Our ideal CAD Designer/Technician should have the following skills and experience: Associate degree, diploma, or certification in Computer-Aided Design (CAD), Drafting Technology, Engineering Design, Mechanical/Architectural Design, or a related field. Bachelor s degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline is a plus. Rates negotiable depending on experience.
