What You'll Be Doing You'll play a key role in developing and supporting technologies used to protect, enhance, and extend the life of aircraft materials. Your responsibilities will include: Developing and deploying new materials, processes, and testing technologies for design and production. Supporting the design and build of aircraft by providing corrosion protection and sealing solutions . Delivering corrosion analysis and protection principles across all Airbus aircraft programmes. Working on continuous improvement projects , including cost, time and performance enhancements. Ensuring compliance with EHS and REACh regulations through eco-efficient materials and processes. Adapting existing surface technologies to chromate-free environments as part of Airbus' sustainability goals. What We're Looking For Experience is highly valued-more so than formal qualifications. You'll likely have a background in aerospace, automotive, or materials engineering, and will bring expertise in some of the following: Material Science, Chemistry, Materials or Chemical Engineering (or related experience). Strong knowledge of corrosion protection , surface technology , metallic and composite materials. Experience with surface treatments, coatings, sealants, and material testing (e.g., salt spray, corrosion, Volvo tests). Ability to communicate clearly and work within a multi-location, international team . Confidence, initiative, integrity and a collaborative working style.
