Senior Electronics Test Engineer Permanent Southend-on-Sea Salary: £35,000-£40,000 (DOE) An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Electronics Test Engineer to join a growing electronics manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical capability, excellent organisation, and a passion for delivering high-quality electronic products. Key Responsibilities Carry out functional testing on board-level audio products, ensuring all equipment is correctly tested, calibrated, and certified according to defined test procedures. Fault-find to component level across final assemblies and sub-assemblies, identifying root causes and carrying out effective repairs. Perform high-accuracy PCB rework , including single-sided and PTH multi-layer boards with both through-hole and surface-mount components. Work closely with the design team on the creation and maintenance of test procedures . Provide technical support and training to electronics test and production teams when required. Read and interpret circuit schematics , understanding analogue and digital circuits of moderate complexity. Ensure excellent time management and organisation , completing tasks efficiently and to quality standards. Follow health and safety procedures , reporting any faulty tools, equipment, or jigs. Maintain a clean and tidy working environment within the department. Collaborate with the department supervisor to deliver accurate technical feedback on PCB batches received from sub-contract assembly partners, supporting continuous quality improvement. About You Strong experience in electronic fault-finding to component level. Skilled in detailed PCB rework and handling complex assemblies. Confident in interpreting schematics and understanding circuit functionality. A proactive communicator with excellent organisational skills. Keen attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high technical standards.
