This is a permanent, business-critical role supporting the delivery of the businesses most strategically important development projects as the company scales its materials technology.Your responsibilities will include but will not be limited to; Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and budgets. Lead project execution while monitoring progress to ensure timely delivery of outcomes. Identify, manage, and mitigate risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle. Facilitate communication across project teams, stakeholders, and senior leadership. Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors as needed for execution. Report on project status, performance, and post-project evaluations. Ensure projects meet quality standards and comply with company policies and procedures. Champion continuous improvement initiatives to drive excellence in our project management process, enhancing our products, projects and operations. About you Essential Proven track record of delivering business critical projects within the Engineering or Chemical process industries. Expert in project management, with a strong understanding of project management principles and methodologies. Excellent organisational, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure. Expert in the use of project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Monday, Asana). Expert in budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning. High EQ and strong communication skills. Desirable Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business, Engineering, IT, or a related field. Project management qualification from certified body (e.g. PRINCE2, APM, PMP, Agile) Proficiency and experience in the use of business systems (e.g. Sharepoint, Power Bi, etc.)

The Role Business Partnering : Act as a trusted advisor to teaching departments, providing financial analysis and guidance to support strategic decisions. Analytical & Systems Focus : Lead on costing and pricing models, dashboard reporting, and analytical projects to improve financial visibility. Project Delivery : Manage day-to-day finance projects, including enhancements to Unit4 and associated reporting tools (not a full system implementation). Collaboration : Work closely with Business Analysts and the wider finance team to roll out modules and improve processes. Annual Returns : Take responsibility for key finance returns and ensure compliance with university reporting requirements. Flexibility : Support additional initiatives as the team adapts to growing demands and evolving priorities. The Successful Candidate Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) or equivalent experience.
