Are you an experienced Finance Manager who enjoys taking ownership of the numbers? Do you thrive in a hands-on SME environment where you can work closely with Directors and have a genuine influence on financial decision-making? This is a varied position within an established international business, ideal for someone who is equally comfortable producing management accounts, managing cash flow and VAT as well as getting involved in the day-to-day details of the finance function. Key Responsibilities Prepare accurate monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet Produce financial reports, KPIs and variance analysis for the Directors Prepare and maintain cash flow forecasts and monitor working capital Oversee purchase and sales ledger activity, supplier payments and credit control Prepare and submit VAT returns Manage multi-currency transactions, payments and foreign currency balances Support accounting processes relating to imports, exports, freight and duty costs Ensure stock and inventory are accurately accounted for and reconciled Support budgeting, forecasting and year-end processes Liaise with external accountants regarding statutory accounts and tax matters Maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations and accounting procedures Identify opportunities to improve and streamline finance processes Key Skills & Experience: Proven experience managing a finance function within an SME environment Experience within a manufacturing, distribution, wholesale or product-based business would be particularly advantageous Strong management accounting and bookkeeping experience Confident producing monthly management accounts Good understanding of cash flow, accruals, prepayments and balance sheet reconciliations Practical knowledge of UK VAT Experience working with multiple currencies Strong Excel Skills Being qualified or part-qualified is advantageous Commercially minded with excellent attention to detail Confident communicating financial information to the Directors and colleagues Salary & Benefits: £20 - £23 per hour Part-time 20 hours per week 24 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays Pension Contribution Private Medical Onsite Parking Horsham This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced finance professional looking for a varied, hands-on part-time position where you can take real ownership of the finance function and work closely with the senior leadership team.
