Independent Forgings and Alloys Ltd (IFA) are continuing to invest and grow, and we are looking to add to our Engineering team. We are now looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer. Over the last few years, we have invested in the business and have successfully doubled our turnover. We are looking to continue this growth and are looking to for the right people to help us join our team. The role is working on a rotating 3 shift pattern Monday - Friday with overtime available Main duties: Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks. Installation of new plant. Planning mechanical maintenance tasks for completion during the shutdown. Development and upgrading of existing equipment. Good knowledge of safety and permit to work systems. More about you: We would like you to be an apprentice trained maintenance engineer who is mechanically bias. You must have experience in a heavy forge environment coupled with good working knowledge of hydraulics (ideally Oilgear Towler) and great mobile plant maintenance skills (manipulator, FLT and OHC). Experience of break downs on presses, hammers, lathes and borers would also be beneficial, however not essential. As a Testing Coordinator, you will work alongside the team of experts and you will have responsibility for the control of material throughout the testing process. A typical day might look like this; Co-ordinate the flow of all testing work through the Internal Test Centre and External Test Houses. Producing of testing purchase orders in line with internal requirements as well as customer, national and international specifications. Arrange transport to external testing facilities where appropriate. Input and review of external results data on to the ERP system. Joining our team, you will Manage and improve the Non-Conformance register and maintain low NCR dwell time. Instigate and participate in root cause analysis, using tools such as; 3C's, 5WHY's and 8D's. You'll assist in maintaining Nadcap and our customer accreditations. Perform internal audits as well as quality spot checks of in-progress work. Data handling and analysis for use both internally and externally. What are we looking for? Joining us as an experienced Quality Engineer, you will have a strong understanding of quality and inspections procedures. Educated to degree level in a science & engineering discipline or similar, you will be a team player with great organisational, communication and problem-solving skills. Day to day you're going to be a point of contact for quality across the business and a key player in meeting business KPI's. Quality requirements in the industry are always evolving, therefore prior experience of quality systems (preferably ISO9001, AS9100, AS13100, Nadcap) is essential. A lot of your role will centre around continuous improvement, with reviewing and updating or implementing changes, giving you an opportunity to take some real pride in your work. Due to this continued investment and growth, we are looking to add to our Finance team and we are looking for an experienced Data Analyst. This is a regular days position working 37 hours per week. The Role The Data Analyst will be responsible for gathering data from various sources (e.g., SQL databases, Excel files, cloud services), clean, transform, and model data using Power Query and DAX, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and consistency. You will design and build interactive reports and dashboards in Power BI, use data visualisations to communicate key metrics and insights clearly and you will customise visuals using DAX, bookmarks, slicers, and tooltips. You will perform data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and outliers, support business decision-making with actionable insights and collaborate with stakeholders to define KPIs and analytical requirements. Manging data access and security using roles and permissions in Power BI Service, you will ensure compliance with data governance policies and best practices. Working closely with business users, managers, and technical teams to understand data needs, you will present findings and visualisations to non-technical audiences effectively and provide training or support to end-users on how to interact with reports. Monitoring and optimising report performance, you will stay updated with new Power BI features and best practices and recommend improvements to existing data models, reports, and processes.
