Senior Data Engineer (Microsoft Fabric) Location: Leeds, West Yorkshire (2 days onsite per week) Exalto Consulting is supporting a major organisation undergoing significant data and digital transformation. We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer with strong experience in Microsoft Fabric to help shape and deliver reliable, scalable data products. Do you enjoy building dependable data pipelines? You ll collaborate closely with data architects, analysts and domain teams, supporting decentralised data products and helping embed best practice across data quality, lineage, observability and compliance. What you ll be doing Building end to end data pipelines and Fabric based lakehouse solutions. Creating semantic layers using star schema modelling and DAX. Embedding monitoring, lineage and data quality into pipelines. Integrating data from APIs, CRM/ERP systems and other third party sources. Ensuring secure, compliant data handling aligned with GDPR and ISO 27001. Supporting CI/CD deployment of version controlled artefacts. What we re looking for Essential Strong experience designing and operating scalable ETL/ELT pipelines. Hands on Microsoft Fabric experience (Dataflows Gen2, Notebooks, semantic models). SQL and Python proficiency, with Spark/Spark SQL exposure. Practical understanding of data quality, observability and troubleshooting. Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and collaborate across teams. Desirable CI/CD experience. High volume or real time data environments. Data cataloguing tools (e.g. Purview). Test Management (JIRA etc) Functional Testing/ERP Test Strategy/Systems Integration System Integration Test Manager Location: Crewe or Chester Hybrid - 2-3 days a week in the office We are recruiting a System Integration Test Manager to lead the functional testing of a newly implemented role within the manufacturing sector. This role is critical to validating that business processes are accurately supported by the ERP system, ensuring operational readiness and compliance. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, executing, and reporting on functional test activities across integrated modules. Key Responsibilities Functional Test Planning & Strategy Develop and own the functional test strategy for the solution system integration, aligned with business process requirements. Define test scope , objectives, and success criteria for each functional area (eg, procurement, production, inventory, quality, finance). Test Script Creation Lead the creation of detailed functional test scripts based on business process flows and system configuration. Ensure coverage of core manufacturing industry processes , including batch tracking, shelf-life management, and traceability. Test Execution Manage the execution of functional test cycles , coordinating with business users and technical teams. Monitor and document test results , log defects, and ensure timely resolution through collaboration with ERP vendors and developers. Test Reporting & Governance Provide structured reporting on test progress, defect trends, and functional readiness. Deliver executive-level dashboards and insights to project sponsors and stakeholders. Stakeholder Engagement Facilitate test walkthroughs , sign-off sessions, and feedback loops with business SMEs. Act as the functional testing authority , ensuring alignment between business expectations and system capabilities. Required Skills & Experience Strong experience in functional testing of ERP systems , ideally within the manufacturing or distribution industry . Deep understanding of end-to-end business processes and how they are represented in ERP systems. Proficiency in test management tools (eg, JIRA,). Excellent documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive testing outcomes in a delivery-focused environment. Desirable Qualifications Experience with ERP platforms and end to end testing functionality ISTQB or equivalent testing certification .

Security Lead (Security Cleared) - 5 days on site in Basingstoke - £525 inside IR35 Exalto consulting are currently recruiting for a contract Security Lead this is on site in Basingstoke 5 days a week and inside IR35 paying £525 per day, initially 6 months but likely to extend due to workload. You will lead a team of Security Assurance Consultants to secure the delivery of planned, agile and operational services. The Security Lead will oversee all contracted security-related activities, working with security architects and directing security consultants to deliver secure services and establish appropriate policies and procedures. The Security Lead will act as the primary security point of contact between the Supplier and the Client, attending regular strategy and governance meetings to agree delivery approaches from a security perspective. The Security Lead will also respond to Client queries, undertake security impact assessments for proposed changes and conduct security risk assessments.
