Client brief - Our client is a large well renowned family-owned business in Manufacturing timber products based in St Helens and supply the retail trade and builders merchants across the UK. KEY INFORMATION Reason for vacancy Increased demand Contract Temp to perm Hourly Rate - £12.71ph Shifts Monday to Friday days, 8am-5.30pm Facilities Fantastic facilities on site, very clean and tidy office environment, kitchen/canteen, vending machines, free parking RESPONSIBILITIES The role - The responsibilities of these positions are varied but not limited to - Operating timber production machinery within health and safety guidelines at all times Loading and unloading the timber production machines with raw material and finished product Quality Checking/Spot Checking products to ensure they meet site and client quality standards Reporting machine and product faults to management Ensuring the machinery and production areas are kept safe and clear of debris KEY SKILLS REQUIRED Previous machine operating experience (ideally in timber industry) Previous experience setting or programming timber production machinery is highly advantageous but not essential Ability to read technical drawings is highly advantageous but not essential Ability to follow instructions and read and write in English is essential Interest in developing technical ability and desire to progress is essential in these roles

CLIENT OVERVIEW Our client operates a large-scale manufacturing and production facility and places a strong emphasis on hygiene, safety, and quality standards across all areas of the site. KEY INFORMATION Contract Type: Temp to perm Working Hours: Shift-based, 4on4off, days only 6am-6pm Pay Rate: £12.71ph, optional overtime basic rate THE ROLE The Hygiene Operative will be responsible for carrying out scheduled cleaning and hygiene duties across production, equipment, and communal areas. The role supports safe and efficient site operations by ensuring all hygiene standards are consistently met. This position requires a reliable and detail-focused individual who can follow procedures and work safely within a manufacturing environment. As a Counterbalance Operator (FLT) you will be working both alone and as part of a team with efficiency and commitment to complete your work and strive to maintain the business performance targets. Generalist responsibilities are as follows Key Responsibilities To move stock across the Production facility to store or to feed production Ensure all stocks that are moved to and from specific locations are scanned to be 100% compliant to scan audit (as applicable per site) Loading and unloading of HGV deliveries several times per day Adhere to all scan procedures as trained. Ensure all tasks are performed accurately, efficiently and that time deadlines are met. Achieve and maintain pre-set performance targets whilst maintaining accuracy. Take individual responsibility for the maintenance of housekeeping standards in the work area.
