An exciting opportunity has arisen: We are currently recruiting for a full-time (37hrs per week) Family Support Workers to join our safeguarding team in Bolton Council. As part of this role, you will work alongside Safeguarding Social Workers in delivering high-quality intervention with children and families to support in achieving positive outcomes. The role includes (although not an exhaustive list), supporting with family time, supporting in completing home visits, direct work with children, completing work with families around behaviour management strategies and routines and boundaries, budgeting and supporting in referring families to support services available. This work will involve working with families subject to Child in Need, Child Protection and those involved within court proceedings. Candidate will be expected to be office based for part of the week and be able to travel to Bolton at short notice to meet service needs. Free on site parking, must be a driver PAYE - £16.43 Umbrella - £20.83 Refs will be requested for any candidate offered and interview and DBS on offer

MUST HAVE LEVEL 3 QUALIFICATIONS AND PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE IN A CHILDCARE SETTING. To contribute to the planning, organising and provision of appropriate play and educational activities following children's interests, promoting individualised learning opportunities and observing and assessing children regularly, adhering to all relevant policies and procedures and legislative requirements. Be responsible for the supervision of children at play (indoor and outdoor) and at mealtimes, providing personal care to children whilst at the same time providing opportunities for them to develop their independence. • Contribute to the planning and delivery of relevant and current curriculum frameworks. • Take responsibility for planning, tracking and evaluating the learning and development of key children and setting individual targets. • Contribute to creating a comfortable, safe, stimulating and nurturing environment which takes into consideration each family's ethnic and cultural background and each child's individual needs. • Contribute to setting up and tidying up the provision before and after each session, leaving the centre clean and tidy. • Operate an effective key person system, creating and maintaining partnerships with parents/carer and partner agencies encouraging their involvement and engagement in the centre's work. • Provide information to customers as required, including dealing with parents and report any safeguarding incidents or concerns in line with policies and procedures.
