Quality Assurance Engineer Location: Birmingham Salary: Up to 45,000 (depending on experience) About the Role We are seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in metal machining environments and a solid background in quality control systems, inspection, and continuous improvement. This role plays a key part in ensuring that products meet the highest standards of precision, durability, and finish. Key Responsibilities Product Inspection & Testing Inspect machined components for defects and ensure compliance with engineering drawings and specifications. Perform testing and validation against defined quality standards. Process Monitoring Monitor production processes using established SOPs. Identify deviations and implement corrective actions promptly. Quality Documentation Develop, update, and maintain quality documentation including: Inspection procedures Test plans Quality control guidelines Process documentation Root Cause Analysis Investigate product defects using structured problem-solving methods. Develop and implement corrective and preventative action plans (CAPA). Cross-Functional Collaboration Work closely with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to resolve quality issues. Support continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes. Training & Support Train and mentor team members on quality assurance processes and standards. Promote a culture of quality throughout the organisation. Mandatory Requirements Proficiency in CAD software. Strong knowledge of metals, machining processes, and tooling. Good understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing). Knowledge of drawing control and engineering change management. Experience producing technical documentation for manufacturing teams. Desirable (Not Essential) Experience with Autodesk Vault. Knowledge of SAP and document control systems (e.g., Vault). Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical discipline. Hands-on experience within shop floor machining environments. Experience within hardware manufacturing. Hours 7.30am to 4.30pm Monday to Thursday and 7.30am to 12.30pm Friday. This a permanent position that starts immediately.

An established manufacturing company based in Stirchley, Birmingham requires a powder coater / wet sprayer. Duties: Carry out powder coating and wet spraying of metal components to high standards. Prepare surfaces (cleaning, masking, shotblasting, and priming) prior to coating. Mix and apply coatings accurately in accordance with specifications. Operate and maintain spray equipment, booths, and curing ovens. Conduct quality checks to ensure coating thickness, adhesion, and finish meet requirements. Requirements: Minimum 5 years proven experience in powder coating and wet spraying. Strong understanding of coating preparation, application, and curing processes. Ability to read and follow technical drawings and specifications. Good eye for detail and commitment to producing high-quality finishes. Experience with ceramic coatings is desirable but not essential (training can be provided). Hours: 37 hrs (Mon-Thurs 7am to 4.45pm) This is a permanent position that starts immediately.

An established metal recycling company based in the Stratford upon Avon area requires an experienced 360 material handler, grab driver. Duties: Operating a 360-material handler with grab attachment to load and move scrap material around the site. General yard duties. Requirements: A valid 10 ton plus 360 material handler licence with lifting operations Scrapyard or recycling experience would be an advantage. Willing to do overtime as required. Own transport required due to company location. Hours: 5 pm to 2 am Monday to Friday. (Evening shift) Overtime is available in the week and weekends. This is an ongoing indefinite contract that starts immediately.
