Our client is a market leading Scaffolding contractor who operate across the UK and Europe and are currently looking for a Commercial Manager. The Commercial Manager will support the Scaffolding Commercial Director in strengthening commercial performance, governance, reporting preparation and risk management across the UK, Ireland, Europe and international Scaffolding operations. This is a senior support role within an 80m+ specialist access business covering scaffolding, hoists, mast climbers and related access solutions. The role will assist with the preparation, analysis, challenge and evidence required for board-level reporting, while also supporting major contracts, complex negotiations, final accounts, commercial controls, team development and standardisation across the group. About The Role - Support the Scaffolding Commercial Director with day-to-day commercial governance, reporting preparation and implementation of agreed commercial controls across UK, Ireland, Europe and international operations. - Review high-risk contract terms, payment schedules, LADs, bonds, warranties, scope exclusions, under-hire, extra hire and other key commercial risks. - Ensure contract review processes, approval routes, query sheets and document control requirements are followed consistently. - Provide commercial guidance to QSs, Contract Managers, Site Managers and Operational Leads. - Lead or support negotiations on major applications, final accounts, client disputes and settlement discussions where delegated by the Commercial Director. - Develop commercial strategies for challenging accounts, including evidence requirements, risk position, negotiation approach and escalation route. - Attend client meetings and support senior-level commercial discussions where required. - Ensure lessons learned from difficult projects are captured and fed back into tendering, operations and contract review. - Mentor Quantity Surveyors and commercial support staff, improving consistency, confidence and commercial judgement. - Support recruitment, onboarding, training and development of the growing Commercial team. - Provide cover and support for regional commercial leads where required. - Drive a high-performance commercial culture focused on ownership, evidence, communication and cash. Our client is a market leading scaffolding contractor who operate across the UK and Europe and due to expansion plans, they require a Commercial Assistant to work alongside their senior Commercial team and operations teams. The Commercial Operations Administrator will support the Commercial function by improving commercial data, reporting, systems, document control, process discipline and change implementation across the group. This role is not a traditional administration role; it is designed to provide structured support to Scaffolding QS teams, Commercial Managers, Operations and Finance while helping embed new systems, standardised processes and acquisition set-up activity. The successful candidate will be highly organised, systems-minded and capable of turning commercial information into clear, usable reporting and action tracking. About The Role - Maintain commercial trackers, including contract trackers, final account trackers, WIP trackers, tender/opportunity trackers, acquisition action trackers and weekly executive reporting inputs. - Support the Commercial Director and Commercial Manager with preparation of weekly and monthly reports, ensuring information is accurate, consistent and up to date. - Coordinate data inputs from QSs, Operations, Finance and regional teams, chasing missing information and escalating gaps. - Help improve data quality across Eque2, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI, CRM and other commercial systems. - Support rollout and adoption of commercial systems, CRM processes, Twenty, Eque2 improvements, dashboards, Teams structures and SharePoint libraries. - Assist with user set-up, training materials, process notes, templates, guides and system housekeeping. - Work with Commercial, IT, Operations and Business Development teams to ensure new systems are introduced in a structured and practical way. - Track actions, issues, risks and decisions during system implementation and change projects. - Maintain Teams and SharePoint filing structures for commercial documents, ensuring contracts, amendments, query sheets, approvals and correspondence are stored correctly. - Track contract review status, mandatory contract query sheets and approval routes. - Support audit readiness by maintaining clear records, version control and evidence trails. - Coordinate standard templates, forms, commercial procedures and process maps. About The Candidate - Strong administration, coordination or commercial support experience within construction, scaffolding, access, specialist contracting, property, infrastructure or a project-based environment. - Excellent Microsoft 365 skills, particularly Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams and SharePoint. - Good data discipline with the ability to maintain trackers, dashboards and reports accurately. - Experience supporting systems implementation, process improvement, CRM, ERP or reporting projects beneficial. - Eque2 Construct, Power BI or CRM experience beneficial; training can be provided. - Strong written communication and document formatting skills. - Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, QS teams, operations, finance, IT and external parties.
