Planner Overview An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Planner to join a growing construction business, covering projects across Scotland. Current and upcoming works include major infrastructure projects such as the Forth Bridge (Edinburgh) and Tay Bridge Road (Dundee), with further schemes in the pipeline. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining an overview of all aspects relating to planning and programming across multiple projects, while supporting Project Managers in developing methodologies and promoting best value design solutions. Key Responsibilities Develop, monitor, and update project programmes to ensure accurate planning and delivery. Support Project Managers with planning, programme management, and methodology development. Assist in identifying best value design and construction solutions. Provide accurate progress reports and forecasts for senior management and stakeholders. Coordinate with site teams, clients, and subcontractors to maintain alignment on project timelines. Ensure compliance with company policies, health & safety standards, and contractual obligations. About You Relevant construction or civil engineering qualifications (desirable). Strong experience in site-based activities. Proficient in planning software (ideally P6 Primavera). Knowledge of design programme management. Strong communication and team-working skills. The work will involve bespoke installation of fitted bedrooms, with a strong emphasis on precision scribing and working with angled ceilings to deliver a high-quality finish. This is ongoing freelance work with the opportunity for consistent projects for the right individuals. Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and reliable Multi-Skilled Builder to join our team, working across occupied and void social housing properties. The successful candidate will carry out a variety of repair, maintenance, and refurbishment tasks to a high standard, ensuring homes are safe, compliant, and in good condition for tenants. Key Responsibilities: Perform general building works including brickwork, plastering, tiling, patch repairs, fencing, concreting, and small structural repairs. Complete minor plumbing, carpentry (1st and 2nd fix), and painting & decorating tasks as required. Carry out responsive and planned maintenance on void and tenanted properties. Work closely with tenants, site supervisors, and housing officers to ensure works are completed safely and with minimal disruption. Ensure all work complies with health & safety legislation and internal policies. Record job progress using company systems or mobile devices (if applicable). Maintain tools, equipment, and work vehicles in good condition. Essential Requirements: Proven experience in a similar multi-trade or general builder role, preferably within social housing. Competent in at least three core trades (e.g. plastering, bricklaying, carpentry, tiling). Full UK driving licence (van may be provided). Excellent communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Awareness of Health & Safety regulations and safe working practices. Desirable: Valid CSCS Card Asbestos Awareness Certificate DBS
