We need an HGV Technician for a workshop-based role at our Sevenoaks depot. The role will involve working on a range of Commercial Vehicles, including Tippers, Tipper/Grabs, and Hotboxes, from 3.5T Towable Units to 32T Tipper/Grabs for a leading Truck rental and sales company. Working times are Monday to Friday, with working hours from 07:00 to 16:30. The company offers a basic salary of 48,000 per year, plus overtime paid at 1.5x the hourly rate. For this position, you will need to hold qualifications in HGV/Commercial Mechanics to the equivalent of NVQ Level 3 / City of Guilds / Full Main Dealership Apprenticeship. Hold a full, current driving licence and a minimum of a Class 2 HGV licence (Class 1 desirable but not essential). Duties will include, but are not limited to: Vehicle Diagnostics (using the latest Jal-Test vehicle diagnostic equipment) Inspections and servicing Repair of vehicle defects MOT preparation Preventative maintenance Completion of compliance documentation The role includes a service van (for business use only), a fuel card, a mobile phone, and overalls.
