The ideal candidate will have experience in the installation, service, and maintenance of fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and emergency lighting. Key Responsibilities: Installation and Maintenance: Install and maintain fire and security systems, including fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control systems, emergency lighting, and associated equipment. Carry out risk assessments and surveys to ensure system compliance and customer satisfaction. Compliance and Documentation: Ensure all installations and maintenance are compliant with relevant British Standards and industry regulations (e.g., BS 5839, BS 6266, NSI, BAFE). Complete accurate service reports, installation records, and certification as required. Call-Outs & Emergency Response: Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota, providing emergency support and repairs when necessary. Training & Development: Keep up to date with the latest technologies and industry trends. Attend training sessions as required to ensure continued professional development. Required Skills and Qualifications: Experience: Proven experience working as a Fire and Security Engineer, with a strong background in the installation and maintenance of fire alarm systems, CCTV, intruder alarms, access control, and emergency lighting. Experience working with a wide range of fire and security systems, including both wired and wireless technologies. Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of relevant standards and regulations (e.g., BS 5839, BS 6266, NSI, BAFE). Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills. Certifications: FIA (Fire Industry Association) qualifications, or equivalent, desirable. Relevant CSCS or ECS card. Full UK driving license. Skills: Excellent communication and customer-facing skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently. Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality work.

Job Purpose: To conduct asbestos surveys in domestic, commercial, and industrial properties, ensuring full compliance with relevant health and safety legislation. The Asbestos Surveyor will identify, assess, and document asbestos-containing materials (ACMs), supporting clients in managing asbestos risks safely and legally. Key Responsibilities: Carry out Management, Refurbishment, and Demolition Asbestos Surveys in line with HSE guidance. Inspect and assess buildings for the presence of asbestos-containing materials (ACMs). Take bulk samples of suspect materials safely for laboratory analysis. Use survey software or data capture tools to record findings and produce clear, detailed reports. Liaise with clients, site personnel, and contractors to coordinate access and ensure minimal disruption. Assess the condition, location, and type of ACMs and determine appropriate risk assessments. Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with company and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with asbestos regulations and health & safety protocols at all times. Occasionally assist with asbestos re-inspections, air testing, and clearance certification (if qualified). Ensure compliance with current industry standards (e.g., BS 5839, BS 7671, NSI, SSAIB). Work within agreed timeframes and budgets. Provide technical support and advice to clients.
