G-TEKT Europe Manufacturing is a world-class automotive manufacturer, based in Brockworth, Gloucester. Utilising state of the art presses and robotic welding equipment we produce automotive pressings and assemblies for JLR, Toyota, Tesla, Nissan & BMW. To ensure the efficient, timely, and accurate control and flow of raw materials, specifically steel and aluminum, into the manufacturing process to support continuous automotive production. The Material Controller will manage inventory, liaise with suppliers, monitor material usage, and ensure raw material availability in line with production schedules and quality requirements. Full training will be given to the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Setting of key planning parameters to ensure timely delivery of raw materials Monitor and manage raw material inventory levels in line with production demands Maintain accurate stock records through regular PI activity Monitor material usage rates and adjust planning accordingly Support ongoing supply into the Plants on an OTIF basis Support NPI activity and adoption into mass production process across the Plants Generate Material Forecasts to align to key project milestones Generate long term material consumption forecasts Management of the Customers CPS material process Manage supplier concerns through root cause analysis & countermeasure Work with Quality & Engineering to address material non-conformities Vendor Ratings - generate and monitor key material suppliers Problem Solving any supply constraints to minimise downtime Conduct a robust RFQ process for sourcing of low volume material solutions Control of off-site Customer owned material Management of the Model Runout Program with minimum obsolescence Ensure Supplier ASN compliance and resolve any invoice queries Reporting on departmental KPIs such as inventory turnover, shortages, stock holding, valuation, accuracy and supplier performance Person Profile Enthusiastic and highly self-motivated. Excellent organisational skills, deadline adherence and exceptional attention to accuracy and detail. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. Able to act under pressure with calmness, clarity of thought and decisive authority. IT literate in use of Microsoft Packages and QAD system Team Player Must have a good attitude for individual development. Must be able to follow instructions. Purpose The post holder is responsible for supporting the Director/Senior Business Administration Manager to ensure timely production of accounting reports for management and governance. Key duties include processing and analysis of financial data, identifying risk and opportunity, ensuring legal compliance & assisting the senior team with continual improvement. This is an onsite role, based at our factory based in Gloucester. Key responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts. Reporting analysis to board across cost centres. Month end reporting of all financial matters. Preparation of year end statutory accounts and supporting data for submission to audit partner. Balance sheet account reporting. Calculation of WIP & deferred income on monthly basis on current projects. Cost of sales and cost variance reporting, including manufacturing and purchase price variance & standard cost analysis. Monthly GBP Account revaluation & exchange rate analysis. Company credit card analysis of expenditure and expense claims. Accruals and prepayments. Depreciation & fixed asset register. Reconciliation of company balances. Oversee maintenance of accounting records for auditing on a 6 month basis. Assist with supplier change process Assist with providing information to the ONS Assisting with the payment of suppliers Promote a culture of working safely by working in a safe manner at all times complying with company Health & Safety and environmental standards.
