You will also be doing the following: Initially, you d be involved in product building to get to grips with how it goes together. Moving on to testing of systems and sub-assemblies. Carrying out test procedures along with the relevant data. Supporting customers over the phone and via email. Using your problem solving ability to generate ideas for equipment issues. Conducting video calls for remote installations to guide customers through the process. Travel nationally and internationally to conduct installations. The Candidate: Test and Installation Engineer The successful candidate will be positive and confident in their ability, a self-motivated decision maker, and will have most of the following skills and experience: PhD or Masters in physical sciences Physics, Chemistry, Material Science etc. Experience using vacuum/UHV technology, either academically or in industry. You may have work experience in one of the above and a qualification in the other if that s you then do apply!
