Working within a specialist product environment, you will be responsible for managing and developing an established international customer network while identifying and converting new sales opportunities across a range of sectors. The successful candidate will take ownership of existing, lapsed, and prospective accounts, helping to drive sustainable business growth through proactive relationship management and strategic business development initiatives. Workshop Manager Location: Basildon, Essex (Office-based) Salary: Up to 40,000 per annum Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday Are you an experienced IT Workshop Manager or Senior Workshop Engineer looking for your next opportunity? We are looking for a hands-on Workshop Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy IT workshop, ensuring equipment is built, repaired, configured, and deployed to the highest standards. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing Managed Service Provider (MSP) where quality, customer service, and continuous improvement are at the heart of everything they do. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing workshop operations, leading a small team of engineers, maintaining stock levels, supporting project delivery, and ensuring hardware is prepared and delivered on time. Working closely with the Service Desk, Projects and Procurement teams, you will play a key role in delivering an outstanding service to customers. The role includes overseeing the daily running of the workshop, including hardware builds, repairs, testing and equipment configuration. You will lead, mentor and develop workshop engineers and apprentices, ensuring all devices are built, configured and deployed to agreed standards within required timescales. You will also manage stock control, support procurement activities, maintain supplier relationships, monitor workshop performance and capacity, maintain accurate documentation, ensure quality standards are met and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and service delivery. To be considered, you should have experience working within an IT workshop, hardware support or Managed Service Provider environment. You will have strong knowledge of PCs, laptops, servers and IT hardware, along with experience of stock management and procurement processes. Previous experience managing or supervising a team would be advantageous, together with an understanding of SLAs, KPIs and service delivery. You will be highly organised with excellent communication and problem-solving skills, a proactive and hands-on approach, and strong attention to detail.
