Mechanical Engineer Helsinki Up to €85,000 DOE + €13,000 Tax Free Subsistence + Flights, Accom, Bills Paid First Task Professional are presently seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer / Project Engineer to join the business to deliver a 50MW data centre just outside of Helsinki. The city boasts one of the highest quality of life indices in the world and is a metropolitan hub with significant investment for data centres. The project is undergoing a rock excavation at present and will run until early 2028 with high likelihood of follow-on projects in the region. Responsibilities Manage client communications Oversee design management and contractor coordination Prepare method statements and risk assessments for construction Deliver all HVAC requirements within project and safety standards Coordinate pipework installation with project team to meet deadlines Manage commercial aspects from estimating handover to full procurement of equipment, subcontractors, and suppliers Support installation works, ensuring site quality, programme delivery, commissioning, and handover Document and cost scope changes; prepare monthly valuations and final accounts Requirements Proven experience in mechanical/electrical contracting environment Design management experience essential Bachelor s degree in Engineering (or similar) Strong organisational, communication, and time management skills Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Project If the role is of interest, please get in touch with Gregor Devlin at First Task Professional.
