Responsibilities and Duties Reporting to the Director you will: Key Responsibilities: Drive business development for key business growth within the industrial services sector, targeting both new and existing clients, using proactive techniques like cold calling and outreach to offer a broad range of services, including refurbishment works and small works, inc some new building and extensions etc Maintain a strong pipeline of new business opportunities and contribute to the company business plan. Foster strong customer relationships by ensuring high service standards, addressing non-conformances, and providing timely feedback. Maximise margins on projects and ensure continuity of work for the business teams. Collaborate across divisions to identify other opportunities, particularly within waste treatment and disposal across other sites within the business group. Work closely with Account Managers, Admin Staff, and Operations to ensure seamless service delivery and contract management. Manage the tender process, including document reviews, financial analysis, and ensuring compliance with Tender Governance procedures. Monitor market trends, competitors, and relevant industry developments to inform business strategy. Manage projects, inquiries, and customer communications while ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards. Promote a safety-first culture and actively contribute to the company's health, safety, and environmental initiatives. Represent the business at stakeholder events and ensure compliance with company policies, including security, data protection, and equal opportunities. Professional Qualifications We are looking for someone with: Technical expertise in the construction - fit out sector - refurbishement. Proven ability to manage customer accounts and associated sales revenue. Strong commercial acumen, a track record of profitable new business, and a commitment to high levels of customer service, along with a full UK driving licence. Degree qualified or proven sector experience in business development and sales in industrial services, waste management, or relevant industrial operations. Personal Skills The Business Development Manager role would suit someone who has: Flexibility to accommodate overnight stays, early starts, and late finishes to meet client and business needs. Proven track record in driving profitable new business while maintaining high levels of customer service. Strong logistics knowledge, including experience with transport booking and vehicle requirements for contracts. Skilled in cold calling, negotiating, and executing deals at both strategic and tactical levels, with experience in managing projects and business processes. Site Manager We are looking to recruit a Site Manager for our new and exciting schemes, overseeing of day to day running of the project. Works are to be completed on time, on budget and in line with Health and Safety standards. You will report to the contracts manager. Schemes range in value from £100K - £1.5M the larger schemes would involve the running of the site only. The smaller schemes may involve an element of minor working on site while running the project. Site Manager Qualifications: 5+ years expereince working for a Main Contractor in a similar capacity. Experience in delivering commercial schemes, within various sectors. SMSTS essential CSCS essential First aid essential Experience of working with multiple sub contractors Experience with refurbishments and extensions. Full UK Driving Licence Site Manager Skills: The ability to manage & co-ordinate multiple sub contractors PC Literate Good level of commercial awareness Excellent problem-solving skills Excellent communication, presentation, management, and negotiation skills Experience with all trades groundworks, steelworks, electrical, mechanical, carpenters, general trades. Ability to interpret drawings and identify any issues or problems with design. Experience with construction programmes with the ability to monitor and assess site progress Clean driving license. Good organisational skills. Self-motivated, driven and a team player. Site Manager Roles and responsibility: Supplying information to resolve any on site issues Manage direct employees and subcontract labour Manage material supply call-offs Promote and ensure quality of sub-contract work as projects progress Identifying areas for improvement (if required) Review construction drawings Liaise with Design co-ordinator & consultants when required to overcome site problems Ensure the H&S and presentation of sites are compliant and to a level acceptable to the client H&S audits and ensure all RAMS are reviewed and up to date at all times Provide support/advice for construction programming Monitor actual site progress to the latest programme and report back to the contracts manager. Monitor outstanding information required to complete the works and ensuring this is provided in sufficient time to avoid delay being caused to the site works Maintain client relations. Continuous overview of all sub contractors to ensure that build targets are met. Providing site feedback to allow monthly project reporting. Due to Company expansion, we are looking for a working supervisor to join our team. You will be joining a growing business with state-of-the-art facilities and incredible plans for the future. The business is a refurbishment and commercial building contractor. We operate in a number of sectors such as Education, Care, NHS, scheme values vary from £20K to circa £3M. The successful candidate must be someone who will invest in the team, will be passionate about their job and wants to be part of the company's journey. As a working site supervisor, you will be responsible for running of smaller projects and the day to day running of that site. Supported by the contracts manager you will be an integral part of the team. Duties include: H&S on site and inductions. Ensure that RAMS are on site and reflect the scope. Ordering of materials. Communication with the site team. Ensuring any snagging is carried out prior to handover. Ensure that the project quality is high and to client expectations. Qualifications From a trade background ideally multi trade or carpentry. SMSTS or SSSTS. First aid. CSCS card. You will have the opportunity to join a growing team, which could progress into a long-term role within the business.
