We have opportunities available for both Day Shift and Night Shift HGV Technicians. Night Shift Position: Working Hours: Either Monday to Thursday or Tuesday to Friday, 10 hours, i.e. 40 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid). Salary: £19.50 per hour plus £4.50 uplift OR Day Shift Position: Working Hours: Rotating Shifts, i.e. 40 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid). Week 1, Monday to Friday, 6.00am to 2.30pm Week 2, Monday to Friday 12.00pm to 8.30pm Every other Saturday compulsory 7.00am to 12.00pm Salary: starting at £19.50 per hour, overtime paid at time and half on Saturdays plus additional premium for DAF aid cover. Other duties may be required of the post holder in addition to those listed above and below, to ensure that the requirements of the business are met at all times. Key Responsibilities: Carrying out servicing, maintenance, and repairs to HGVs. Diagnosing faults using manufacturer diagnostic equipment. Completing inspections and MOT preparations. Ensuring all work is completed to DVSA and manufacturer standards. Maintaining accurate job records and documentation. Working safely and maintaining a clean workshop environment. Ideally, we are looking for: Qualified HGV Technician (Level 3 or equivalent preferred). Previous experience working on commercial vehicles. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills. A proactive and team-focused attitude. Full UK driving licence (HGV licence advantageous but not essential). Whichever role you choose, you'll play a key part in maintaining and repairing customer vehicles to exceptional standards, ensuring their fleets stay on the road. You'll work with premium DAF trucks in a state-of-the-art workshop, backed by a knowledgeable and supportive team. Night Shift Position: Working Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6.00 pm to 06.30 am, i.e. 48 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid) Hybrid Position: Working Hours: Rotating shifts, A) 06.00 am to 03.30 pm, B) 09.00 am to 06.30 pm, i.e. 45 hours per week, 30 minute lunch (unpaid) Day Shift Position: Working Hours: Alternating shifts, i.e. 40 hours per week, 30 minutes lunch break (unpaid) plus 2 x 15 min paid break. Adhering to company and dealer processes and procedures, meet and exceed targets, proactively report any opportunities for improvement and actively participating in training to maintain and develop skills. Ideally, we are looking for: A valid driver's license and good driving record. (Hybrid Position). HGV license would be an advantage but not essential Experience as a qualified HGV technician.
