Deputy Manager (And Lead in Positive Behaviour Support) We're looking for a Deputy Manager for a complex care at home service - they deliver support to children and adults with complex healthcare needs, learning disabilities and behavioural needs. Importantly, we're looking for the incoming Deputy Manager to have experience in managing and developing positive behaviour support plans, as you'll take the lead on this area for their clients - developing their PBS plans for clients and supporting and coaching the delivery teams on implementation. A PBS or mental health qualification would be advantageous but not essential, as long as you've had some training and exposure to implementation. This is an exciting time to join, as the organisation has experienced significant growth over the past few years. This is a newly created role to support that expansion, offering real opportunities for career development and progression. The Deputy Manager role In this role, you will: Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day running of the service, deputising in her absence Take the lead as the PBS specialist, creating and overseeing Positive Behaviour Support plans for a range of care packages where PBS input is required Oversee staff management, including supervision, appraisal, and training Have oversight of care packages, ensuring Care Coordinators manage them effectively and in full compliance with CQC standards The Successful Candidate A recognised Positive Behaviour Support qualification/accreditation or NVQ Level 4 in Mental Health is essential Proven experience in a role with responsibility for Positive Behaviour Support planning Leadership or management experience in positions such as PBS Lead, Team Manager, Deputy Manager, or Care Manager Enthusiastic, proactive, and able to work effectively towards goals Experience of working with children would be an advantage but is not essential Interested? In this Peripatetic Manager role, you will provide vital leadership to ensure services remain stable and well supported during times of change.
