As a Document Controller you will be managing all the detailed drawings and information follow for various residential sites, uploading on to the asite document control system. You will need to manage and maintain EDMS' and arrange the sharing of site information using EDMs'. You will be one of the main points of contact for all their externals (consultants and sub-contractors) with training and problem-solving. You will be the go to person for the build information for all internal teams, commercial, technical and production. You should have excellent communication and personal skills. Project Director London Up to 110,000 plus package Our client is one of the leading building envelope specialists operating in Europe and active in the UK, offering the complete design, supply and installation of integrated curtain walling and cladding solutions and they are looking to strengthen their Operations team with a Project Director based in London and working on 2 to 3 projects both in London. With an extensive portfolio of works up to 15 million in value, including a number of envelope packages on large prestigious commercial new builds in London they seek a key member of the management team. This Project Director position requires excellent communication and management skills to co-ordinate input from each department, to maximise the efficiency and add value to the project. You will be fully conversant with the cost and be able to plan activities safely, having direct responsibility for all activities carried out on site and must be able to implement the business management system procedures and provide a professional approach to all aspects of the project. Reporting to the Managing Director your duties will be to take full operational responsibility for projects from pre-tender and design phases through to project award. Then overseeing the successful delivery. You will need to be fully conversant with the following: contract documents including correspondence; understand and interpret drawings; research, establish and develop installation method statements and installation programmes; reporting; record keeping and project reviews. Required Attributes and Experience The ideal Project Manager will have atleast c10 years experience working at a senior level both pre and post contract and on construction sites managing curtain walling installations or other relevant disciplines including roofing, cladding, glazing etc., with at least 5 years as a Project or Senior Project Manager. Ideally you will be HND or Degree qualified in a construction or engineering related discipline with a CSCS Managers card and either a relevant First Aid certificate. Preferably you will be computer literate with programming and planning experience, have good communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to work without supervision and to use your own initiative and experience to fulfil the company's commitments. Finally, the successful Project Director will offer a high level of professionalism at all times in dealing with clients, people and in the presentation of themselves and their work. You will be able to handle demanding people in challenging situations and show the capacity to absorb new knowledge quickly and must be able to motivate teams and drive Projects to successfully deliver the companies commitments and aspirations. We are looking for a confident and professional individual with experience of passive fire protection projects to join our team. Projects range from small works packages between 100k- 200k and larger projects up to 2.5m in value; all involving exciting transformations on projects in Central London and revolve around Passive Fire Protection, to create modern spaces where people can work well together. You will be an experienced contractor's estimator, with at least 5 years' experience with a suitable sub-contractor or a fit out contractor working within the commercial sector.
