About The Contractor: They are a Tier 1 Main Contractor with a proven track record of successfully delivering high-profile construction projects across the UK & Europe. Overview: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be a vital member of the project team, responsible for managing aspects of the commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule. Responsibilities: Design concept, cost and price estimation Negotiation and presentation of contracts (for clients and subcontractors), respectively tender documents Building contract scrutiny and terms of contract analysis Quantities measurements, project cash flow prediction Acquisition and assessment of client requirements, including after-sales service and CRM Conducting comprehensive cost estimation and preparing accurate cost plans Managing subcontractor procurement, negotiation, and agreement of terms Monitoring project costs and variations, providing proactive cost advice and control measures Ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and risk management Requirements: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. Relevant qualifications in Quantity Surveying or a related field. Experience with projects in the Industrial, Warehouse of Shed environments would be a distinct advantage. A proactive and collaborative approach to problem-solving. Happy to work on-site 5 days a week in Birmingham with travel to site as needed.
