Role Details Title: Quality Inspector - Aerospace Purpose The Inspector should ensure that products are inspected to the correct requirements, specifications and materials as agreed with the customer. To support departments within the business and ensure the products supplied by ACS UK Ltd are manufactured in conformance with the relevant design data and specifications. To release conforming product on the correct release documentation and information Key Responsibilities To approve product to drawings and customers supporting documentation. To provide assistance and support within the business regarding product conformance. Operate singularly or as part of a team that makes the most effective use of inspection resource. To record non-confirming product in a descriptive manner to assist the Quality Assurance Engineers. Conduct internal audits within departments. Understand FAIR process to AS9102. Purpose Leading Procurement Sourcing Strategy and Projects, you will be the custodian for creating, managing and governing strategic supplier sourcing and contracting plans, on behalf of the function. Working closely with key functional stakeholders, you will assume accountability for carrying out market and supplier analysis, commodity and supplier segmentation, supplier feasibility studies and supplier assessments, to aid in evolving, governing and deploying the sourcing strategy and relevant contracts. Aligning supplier sourcing strategy to the needs of the business will be critical, accounting for complexities in differing technical and economical operating environments of OEM Production (ACS UK / Sister company Fesher ) and Aftermarket (ACS UK). This is against a backdrop of balancing supplier cost, lead-time, quality, reliability and responsiveness performance measures, across a varied range of commodities and in challenging OEM NPI settings, whereby supplier inclusion into design for manufacture (DFMA) is essential. In support of strategic supplier sourcing activities, the role will set the standards for, and govern, the Strategic Sourcing Board on behalf of the function, as well as maintaining and governing supplier contracting plans, collaborating with Procurement Buyers to support and assist in contract adherence and deployment. In addition, the role will lead and own the Procurement digital strategy, project managing various continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing cross-functional collaboration and / or enhancing functional capacity, through removing waste and increasing efficiency in key functional processes. Key Responsibilities Utilise tools and methods to analyse, critique and segment the current supplier base into strategic categories (eg. Grow, Maintain, Exit, etc.) Collaborate with key stakeholders to assess potential suppliers based on various technical and commercial criteria (eg. pricing, quality, lead-time, etc.) and Total Cost of Acquisition (TCA) Analyse purchasing spend, cost data, market research and supplier performance, to identify trends and opportunities for supplier sourcing initiatives Create and develop supplier sourcing strategies that are shaped and aligned to the needs and requirements of the business / group, in key operating environments (OEM NPI, OEM Production, Aftermarket) Regularly review and adapt the sourcing strategy through capturing and integrating changing market conditions and new business requirements Provide oversight on supplier selection through co-ordinating and governing the Strategic Sourcing Board process (for RFI, RFQ and Contract Award), with a focus on sourcing, evaluation (against commercial and technical criteria) and down-selection of suppliers Prepare data and reports on contract / sourcing activities to inform management decisionmaking and status updates Create and develop robust supplier contracts and support supplier negotiations, with a focus on protecting the business, supporting operational delivery and reducing commercial risk Provide guidance on supplier agreements, pricing structures and contractual matters Management of a supplier contract database, tracking contract expiry dates and scheduling RFQ activities Drive supplier integration in the NPI lifecycle, with inclusion in key NPI milestones (eg. Purpose As Procurement Delivery Manager, you will be accountable for overseeing and managing delivery risk for all suppliers and commodities, enabling and unlocking on-time delivery to customer programme milestones and supporting operational flow. This will be achieved through the effective management of Procurement Project Specialists, aligned by operational cell and programme, to manage supplier delivery of materials and services supporting ACS UK requirements across both OEM NPI and Aftermarket Spares. Within OEM NPI and Aftermarket Spares, there are varied operating environments across cells and value streams, together with differing customer agreements and supply-chain designs, including Free-Issue. This creates diverse challenges and complexities when coordinating and managing credible supplier delivery plans. Leading Procurement Project Specialists in cross-functional collaboration will therefore be crucial to enabling effective Procurement processes, supported by a robust governance structure. This includes participation in production cell daily stand-ups and regular customer and programme reviews. Managing supplier delivery and quality performance will be a key responsibility and will provide critical input into commodity strategic plans. Building strong relationships with Commodity Buying is also essential to ensure delivery risks are appropriately managed through upstream Procurement processes, including Sourcing. Key Responsibilities Leadership As Procurement Delivery Manager, you will lead Procurement Project Specialists responsible for coordinating and managing credible supplier delivery plans in line with ACS UK requirements across both OEM and Aftermarket environments. You will manage team resources effectively, ensuring organisational efficiency, balanced workloads, appropriate capacity and alignment with operational cells and programmes. Procurement The role will be responsible for deploying and implementing effective methods, processes and governance for coordinating credible supplier delivery plans and managing delivery and quality risks that could impact operational flow or customer programme delivery milestones. You will support production cell daily stand-ups and programme reviews, providing clear visibility of supplier delivery risks, issues and actions. You will collaborate cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to mitigate delivery risks and resolve a wide range of delivery issues and process blockers, including those relating to technical, design, quality, engineering and customer Free-Issue requirements. You will act as a key point of contact for delivery-related queries and escalate delivery and quality performance risks and issues through appropriate daily functional meetings. You will own and balance supplier performance for delivery and quality, ensuring appropriate actions are identified and followed through. You will integrate and lead material Free-Issue activity, managing and escalating risks as necessary and collaborating across Programmes, Goods Receipt and Procurement. Goods In Quarantine open issues and quantities. Open works order purchase order shortages covering Purchased and Free-Issue materials. Purchase order line changes resulting in more than seven days' pushout. Courier expedite spend against budget. Supplier quality performance based on GRNs versus Supplier Non-Conformances. Supplier audit adherence against plan. Knowledge, Education, Skills and Experience Knowledge The successful candidate will have strong knowledge of Procurement principles, resource management and Procurement organisational design. Experience of commodity procurement, ideally aligned to similar ACS UK specifications or commodities, is desirable. You will have experience of operating within Engineering and Manufacturing environments, particularly OEM, Aftermarket and NPI environments, together with knowledge of Supplier Relationship Management and strong understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain concepts, including demand and supply planning. You will have a good understanding of operating within MRP and ERP systems, together with sound knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Microsoft Project. Education Degree-level education is preferred, although relevant experience and vocational qualifications will also be valued. Purpose Reporting to the Value Stream Manager, the Production Coordinator will oversee the production lifecycle and progress through to customer delivery whilst ensuring customer expectations are met. Key Responsibilities Plan and manage production tasks including processing of required documentation. Planning ownership of a production cell and control of its key planning input to the master production schedule. Works order housekeeping to maintain correct MRP demand for Supply Chain activity. Monitor execution of works order ensuring offload dates are achieved. Work with cross-functional teams to complete works orders on time and within customer specification.
