The client delivers a range of defence capabilities and support services to the UK armed forces, including programmes such as the P-8A Poseidon, rotary wing fleet support, autonomous systems, C4ISR services and logistics information services. Role Overview: The Boundary Cell Engineer will play a key role in establishing and configuring the logistics information system to support the E-7 aircraft fleet. The position focuses on implementing and managing aircraft data structures within the logistics support environment to enable effective maintenance, repair and supply chain operations. Key Responsibilities: Configure and establish the GOLDesp Logistics Information System to support the E-7 aircraft platform, including the full Bill of Materials (BOM) and associated tooling data. Ensure the system supports maintenance, repair and supply chain management activities across the aircraft life cycle. Provide support to No. 201 Squadron RAF in populating and maintaining the Air System as-maintained configuration structure. Contribute to programme progress review working groups and provide updates on system implementation and data status. Maintain high standards of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure first-time quality in all engineering data and system configuration activities. Skills and Experience: Eligibility to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC). Strong communication skills and a proactive, solutions-focused approach. Demonstrated ability to deliver high levels of accuracy and quality in technical or data-driven environments. Training or experience using logistics information systems (LIS), particularly GOLDesp. This is a "build and delivery" role, not an operations or SRE position. The successful candidate will integrate automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) into traditional network engineering to support critical, hybrid-cloud services. Key Technical Requirements (Priority Criteria): Candidates must demonstrate deep, hands-on experience in: Enterprise Network Engineering: Complex OSPF/BGP environments and designing resilient traffic flows. Security & Firewalls: Extensive experience with Palo Alto (policy design/implementation) and Zero Trust principles. Data Centre Architecture: VXLAN/EVPN, VRF segmentation, and multi-site fabrics (Arista or equivalent). Load Balancing: F5 BIG-IP (LTM/APM/ASM). NetDevOps & Automation: Moving away from manual CLI; proficiency in Python, Ansible, Terraform, and GitLab CI/CD. The role is technically focused, requiring hands-on experience with BeyondTrust tools to secure privileged accounts, manage credentials, monitor sessions, and enforce least privilege policies. The specialist will collaborate with infrastructure, applications, and security teams to maintain a robust PAM environment.
