Our client is a leading multinational engineering services provider and general contractor who specializes in mission critical turnkey solutions. Employing over 750 professionals and deliver leading-edge construction solutions across a range of key sectors including Data Centre s, Healthcare, Life Sciences and Technology, Fire protection, Building Services, and Technical Support Services. They are currently looking for Mechanical Leads to join them on Data Centre Projects in Europe, including in Germany, Finland and Portugal. You will be responsible for: Lead the coordination, installation, and delivery of all mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications, timelines, and quality standards. Manage mechanical subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring safe and efficient execution of works in line with the construction programme. Review mechanical design drawings and specifications, identifying clashes or technical issues, and liaise with the design team and consultants to resolve them. Oversee the installation and commissioning of key systems such as HVAC, chilled water, DX/CRAC units, pipework, valves, pumps, and fire suppression systems. Ensure mechanical works comply with relevant codes, standards (e.g. ASHRAE, CIBSE), and local regulations, and are delivered to client expectations. Plan and supervise testing and commissioning activities, including pressure testing, flushing, balancing, and handover documentation. Coordinate closely with electrical and CSA leads to ensure full MEP integration, resolving coordination issues through BIM and site-based collaboration. Promote and enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance, ensuring all RAMS, permits, and risk controls are in place and actively monitored. You will need: Bachelor s degree in engineering or relevant area. Experience in the delivery of a Data Centre project, or similar large-scale construction projects. A solid understanding of procurement, scheduling, programming, and sequencing. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. An EU passport may not be required but is advisable. You Will Be Responsible For: Prepare and manage detailed cost estimates, bills of quantities, and tender documentation to support competitive and accurate bid submissions. Monitor and control project costs throughout the lifecycle, including budget forecasting, cost reporting, and variance analysis. Assess and value variations, change orders, and claims, working closely with commercial and project teams to ensure fair and timely resolution. Review subcontractor and supplier quotations, negotiate contract terms, and prepare subcontract agreements in line with company policies. Conduct regular cost audits and participate in value engineering exercises to identify opportunities for cost savings without compromising quality or programme. Manage interim valuations and progress payments to subcontractors and suppliers, ensuring accuracy and adherence to contractual terms. Support the final account preparation and project closeout, ensuring all financial documentation is complete, accurate, and agreed with the client. Collaborate with project teams to provide commercial advice and risk analysis, ensuring financial implications are considered in project decision-making. You will need: A minimum of 5 years commercial experience. A wide understanding of subcontracts. The ability to negotiate with clients and subcontractors on a professional level. You Will Be Responsible For: Manage the delivery of all civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) works on site, ensuring quality, safety, and programme milestones are consistently achieved. Coordinate and supervise CSA subcontractors, ensuring that work is executed in line with approved drawings, specifications, and method statements. Interface with other construction disciplines (MEP, BMS, commissioning) to ensure proper sequencing, access, and integration of CSA works with overall project activities. Review and interpret construction drawings, raising RFIs and managing design changes or clashes to prevent delays and rework. Monitor daily site activities, conduct inspections, and enforce compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements across all CSA operations. Track progress against the construction schedule, proactively addressing delays, resource shortfalls, or interface issues to maintain programme targets. Ensure all CSA works are delivered to the required quality standards, including managing inspections, snagging, and sign-off processes. Support the handover process by ensuring red-line drawings, as-built documentation, and O&M data are completed and submitted in line with project requirements. You Will Need: Relevant engineering degree. Experience on large scale industrial projects. Excellent organizational skills. An in-depth understanding of European building regulations.
