Portal Developer Location: Ipswich (Three days onsite, two from home) Duration: Three months rolling Inside IR35 About the Role: We are looking for a talented Portal Developer to design, develop, and maintain high-performance web portals and Back End services. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in React.js and Node.js , and a solid understanding of microservices architecture , CI/CD pipelines , and API integrations . This role requires a developer who can work across the full stack - from user interface design to Back End microservices - while ensuring reliability, scalability, and seamless user experience. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain web portals using React.js (Front End) and Node.js (Back End). Architect and implement microservices-based applications for modular, scalable solutions. Build and integrate RESTful APIs for communication between Front End and Back End systems. Manage Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for automated builds, testing, and deployments. Utilize Docker and Consul for containerization, service discovery, and environment configuration. Administer and maintain Linux and Windows Servers for hosting and runtime operations. Work with SQL and NoSQL databases , optimizing queries and ensuring efficient data management. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, DevOps, QA) to deliver secure, high-quality, and performant applications. Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to continuous performance improvements. Required Skills & Qualifications: Strong expertise in React.js and Node.js with experience in full-stack web development. Hands-on experience with microservices architecture design and implementation . Proficiency in managing Jenkins CI/CD pipelines for continuous integration and delivery. Experience using Docker for containerized application deployment and Consul for service discovery/configuration. Good understanding of Linux and Windows server administration . Proficiency in RESTful API development and integration. Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL) and data modelling principles. Role Specification: Test Automation & Performance Engineer Key Skillset and Responsibilities: VoIP Performance Testing: Hands-on experience with SIP/VoIP call performance testing tools such as SIPp, Spectra, WinSIP, and StarTrinity . Ability to design, execute, and analyse large-scale call performance scenarios. Automation Development: Proficient in Python and Robot Framework for test automation. Experience developing and maintaining automated test suites across multiple domains (API, GUI, performance). API Testing & Performance Engineering: Skilled in API test automation and load testing using tools like Locust, BlazeMeter/Taurus, k6, Newman, and JMeter . Capable of designing scalable test strategies for API and system-level performance validation. GUI Test Automation: Strong understanding of Front End automation using TestCafe, Robot Framework, and Selenium . Familiar with browser automation best practices and test stability optimization. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of telecom protocols (preferably SIP ) and have hands-on experience working with modern development, deployment, and version control tools. This role is ideal for a developer passionate about building scalable, resilient, and high-performance telecom applications running in distributed environments. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain call service applications using Java and JAIN SLEE frameworks. Implement and integrate telecom protocols (eg, SIP ) for Real Time communication services. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (DevOps, QA, Architecture) to ensure seamless integration and deployment. Optimize application performance and troubleshoot issues in Linux-based runtime environments. Utilize Docker and Consul for containerization, service discovery, and microservices orchestration.
