Your role on a day to day basis will be to source and purchase materials/services to meet quality, budget and delivery expectations. You will have involvement in the end to end supply chain function. A big part of your role will be to build rapport and maintain strong supplier relationships. You will negotiate with suppliers on terms and price, review their performance and reduce costs where possible. You will ensure that all purchases are aligned with ISO 9001 and 14001. You will be responsible for stock management and materials control. You will work closely with the import team and third party logistics agents to coordinate global shipments. ARE YOU A DESIGN ENGINEER WITH A STRONG MECHANICAL BACKGROUND? HAVE YOU GOT EXPERIENCE WORKING IN A MANUFACTURING ENVRIONMENT? This is a role where you will be heavily involved in NPD and help shape the success of the business moving forward. This role would suit mechanical design engineers from a manufacturing background. You must have proven experience with 3D design, design from scratch, design for manufacture/assembly and managing multiple design projects at a time. You will ideally understand a range of manufacturing processes and have experience with SolidWorks. You will work on multiple design projects at a time and liaise internally with differing departments to deliver on their design requirements. The role is mostly NPD and design from scratch. You will also occasionally be involved in reverse engineering and remodification of existing designs. As part of your role, you will be responsible for design support across the business which is inclusive of updating of engineering drawings and designs. The role would suit Production Planners with a manufacturing background. Applicants who have experience in a heavy industry or a foundry environment will have a considerable advantage. You must be proficient with ERP systems. Reporting to the Production Manager/Factory Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining detailed production schedules in line with customer orders, stock levels and manufacturing capacity constraints. You will liaise closely with production teams to ensure plans are realistic and achievable. As part of your role, you will adjust schedules to accommodate for demand fluctuations or production challenges. In this role it will ultimately be your responsibility to ensure seamless flow of operations and to ensure that output is delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standard.
