The Role Our client is currently seeking to recruit an Assistant Retrofit Technical Solutions Advisor to join their team in Hertfordshire. This will be a full-time role, based in the office with frequent travel to sites. The ideal candidate will be working towards a Retrofit Coordinator Qualification as wll as having a good knowledge of PAS2035 compliance, building regulations, and retrofit standards Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Support the successful delivery of Retrofit Coordination across live projects, ensuring full adherence to PAS2035 standards and recognised industry best practices Assist in carrying out quality assurance (QA) checks on Retrofit Assessments, Coordination, and Designs, maintaining technical accuracy, consistency, and compliance Conduct pre-, mid-, and post-installation site inspections, documenting findings and providing feedback to lead Retrofit Coordinators and the wider delivery team Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal departments, clients, and supply chain partners to ensure smooth project delivery and collaboration Review and verify project data, audit trails, and technical documentation to support compliance audits, funding applications, and reporting requirements Collaborate with project managers and contractors to embed retrofit measures effectively into project programmes, promoting sustainability and continuous improvement Proactively identify and resolve technical or coordination challenges, contributing to project reviews, risk management, and the refinement of internal processes Stay informed on emerging technologies, policy updates, and funding opportunities to ensure all projects align with current industry standards and innovation

The Role Our client is seeking a Compliance Manager to join their team in Hertfordshire, taking the lead on ensuring all scheme delivery meets funding, accreditation, and regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will manage the PAS2030 Compliance Team, oversee both internal and external audit processes, and ensure that all compliance documentation is prepared, verified, and submitted accurately and on time to clients, energy suppliers, and accreditation bodies. Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Lead and manage the PAS2030 Compliance Team, ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations and standards Oversee internal and external audit processes to maintain national accreditation status Ensure all compliance documentation for the installation of energy efficiency measures meets PAS2030 requirements Provide regular compliance reports and updates to the Head of Sustainability Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure compliance activities align with overall project delivery programmes Advise regional delivery teams on compliance requirements and best practices for energy efficiency measures Work closely with supply chain partners to support effective development and delivery across compliance areas Safeguard against compliance failures by maintaining accuracy and quality across all submissions Support data collation and the preparation of compliance and performance reports Stay up to date with industry changes, regulations, and accreditation standards, sharing insights with the wider team Develop and maintain the PAS2030/MCS supply chain database in partnership with the Supply Chain Manager Review resource levels and team capacity with the Head of Sustainability on a regular basis Undertake other reasonable management duties as required

Recent Projects Include: Residential: New-build development of 10+ flats (£2m+) Leisure: Council-led scheme including pool, gym, reception & studio Residential: New-build houses and apartments (£1m+) Healthcare: NHS facilities and GP surgeries Commercial: Full fit-out of shops and offices The Role: Site Manager - Bedford We are seeking a Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day running of a key project, ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the highest quality standards. The role will involve maintaining strong communication with clients, consultants, and the supply chain while driving performance on site. Project Details: The project involves the alteration and conversion of an existing building to provide 11 apartments for vulnerable residents, together with the construction of a two-storey timber frame building in the rear courtyard. Works include internal structural alterations, new windows, asbestos removal, and management of a site with Tree Preservation Orders (TPOs) in place. Key Responsibilities Take overall responsibility for health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance on site. Manage all site activities including demolition, asbestos removal, structural alterations, timber frame erection, window replacement, and fit-out works. Coordinate subcontractors, direct labour, and suppliers to meet programme milestones. Implement and monitor RAMS, temporary works, and permit-to-work systems. Ensure compliance with statutory obligations, including asbestos management and TPO-protected trees. Monitor progress, report weekly to the Project Manager, and highlight risks or resource needs. Maintain accurate site records (daily diaries, H&S inspections, QA checklists). Liaise with the Council, residents liaison officers, and local stakeholders to minimise disruption. Drive programme performance with a focus on the timely completion of Phase 1 timber frame building. Ensure works are completed to specification and quality benchmarks, ready for handover to vulnerable tenants. Essential Skills & Experience 5+ years managing residential refurbishment and small-scale new build schemes. Strong knowledge of timber frame construction and structural alterations in occupied/complex environments. Experience on public sector housing projects, ideally involving vulnerable residents. Track record of managing asbestos works and liaising with licensed contractors. Awareness of planning constraints and environmental management (TPOs, heritage, urban settings). Strong leadership, communication, and subcontractor management skills.
