This is a permanent role for an experienced Carrier Manager to take responsibility for recruiting, on-boarding and managing haulier partners within a busy subcontract haulage operation.Carrier Manager Role Overview:The successful candidate will be an experienced Carrier Manager, responsible for expanding and managing the haulier network, maintaining compliance, and monitoring performance standards. Driver Trainer / Compliance Supervisor Location: TamworthDuration: Permanent Salary: £39,000 per annumHours: Monday to Friday, 10:00 - 18:00, with alternate half day Saturdays (flexible working hours available on the alternate Saturdays)Empowered Personnel is currently recruiting for a Driver Trainer / Compliance Supervisor on behalf of our Logistics client based in Tamworth. This permanent position is ideal for an experienced Driver Trainer looking to step into a supervisory role while continuing to deliver training and support to drivers.Driver Trainer / Compliance Supervisor Key Responsibilities:Act as the nominated Driver Trainer, delivering pre-employment assessments, inductions and ongoing driver training (including long trailer assessments).Conduct driving assessments, risk assessments, and compliance checks across a fleet of 12 vehicles.Provide alternate Saturday cover, including:Tachograph downloadsMatching tractor and trailer units for Monday runsPreparing driver folders for Monday operationsManage vehicle servicing in line with maintenance schedules.Transport vehicles to and from Hexagon for servicing and repairs.Carry out routine vehicle checks.Process tachograph infringements and brief drivers accordingly.Provide holiday cover for the Traffic Manager when required.Step in for route cover in the event of driver absence.Participate in an on call rota, including driving Class 1 vehicles at short notice to cover sickness or emergencies between 01:00 and 12:00 midday. Planned holidays and routine volume will generally be covered by agency drivers.Carry out any other reasonable tasks as directed by the Traffic ManagerDriver Trainer / Compliance Supervisor Requirements:Hold a valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) licence, current CPC card, and Digi Card.Strong knowledge of transport compliance and driver regulations.Previous experience as a Driver Trainer or Compliance Supervisor is essential.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Ability to work flexibly and adapt to operational needs, including emergency cover driving.For further information or to apply for this role, please call Empowered Personnel on or email your cv to
