A North London Council requires an additional Tree Officer to join its existing, busy team of arboriculture officers. The department is responsible for the management and inspection of the Council's tree stock and as such the role encompasses a broad range of duties including; tree inspections, specifying remedial works, instructing contractors and monitoring works, updating the in house tree database and dealing with the public and other stake holder enquiries. Suitable candidates should be educated to a minimum of a Level 3 in Arboriculture, be a good communicator and ideally have industry experience surveying trees. In return a PAYE rate of £23.45 is offered plus 28 days holiday (including banks). This is a temporary role which may become permanent after a probationary period.

Our client is a South London local authority (near the River Thames). They are looking for a number of tree inspectors to join their arboriculture teams. The department is responsible for the management and inspection of the Council's tree stock and as such the role encompasses a broad range of duties including; tree inspections, specifying remedial works, instructing contractors and monitoring works, updating the in house tree database and dealing with the public and other stake holder enquiries. Suitable candidates should be educated to a minimum of a Level 3 in Arboriculture and/or LANTRA PTI as appropriate to the role, be a good communicator and ideally have industry experience surveying trees. Details: - 35hrs per week - requirements: LANTRA Professional Tree Inspection (PTI), experience of inspecting trees and tree asset management software e.g. Ezytreev, driving licence and own vehicle (expenses for travel within the Borough will be covered) - Remuneration is £26.60/hr PAYE (c. £48,000 pa FTE), with the option of receiving holiday pay weekly instead of accrued, raising the rate to £30.39/hr. - Temporary with the possibility of transferring to permanent for the right candidate after a probationary period.

As a Senior Arboriculture Consultant, you will provide specialist advice including pre-planning tree surveys and reports, subsidence and mortgage assessments, tree stability, woodland management and diagnoses of tree disease and ill-health. You will also be assessing trees and woodlands and providing written technical reports to clients for a range of purposes e.g. for planning applications, and silvicultural and landscape management. In addition, you will be involved with promoting the company as a leader of reasonable and proportionate tree safety and management. You will be based in the office in East Cheshire, and will carry out site visits which will include occasional overnight stays away. Details: - requirements: minimum Level 5 in arboriculture, at least 3 years of private consultancy experience, proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office, AutoCAD and MapInfo, driving licence to do site visits. - Full time (40 hrs/week) 8am-5pm Monday to Friday. - 28 days paid leave per year inc. bank holidays - Remuneration - negotiable, between £35k and £45k pa depending on experience and skills. - Access to the company pension scheme (company contributes 6% of salary) - CPD opportunities e.g. attendance at workshops, seminars and conferences.
