A day in the role: Your day might begin with a stand-up to align with your team's sprint. Next, you may have some project work to do or a project meeting to attend, where you'll be modernising the Bank through the services, you're responsible for. After that, you may draft and raise a change request through the Bank's formal change processes to change or update email policies. The following day if you're in the office, you could have lunch in the canteen with some of your colleagues. In the afternoon, you may have a support call from a user about an issue with their email encryption, checking to ensure our monitoring tools haven't alerted us to anything untoward. Once you've sorted that call, you'll document the fix so that colleagues in your team and division better understand the services you support. The rest of the afternoon could be spent reviewing a problem ticket and technical documentation of an upcoming feature for the Banks current messaging stack and identify any required actions for the team. Minimum Criteria Demonstrable Experience Supporting, delivering and administrating changes within Exchange Hybrid and Exchange Online, along with Security Email Gateways (SEG's) and supporting email encryption technologies Handling multiple work-streams to tight deadlines dealing with conflicting and changing demands across a varied portfolio Demonstrate a proven technical background and a commitment with keeping technical skills up-to-date and relevant, especially in Enterprise Messaging Technologies Comprehensive troubleshooting skills The ability to craft concise, informative user and technical documentation Essential Criteria Experience with managing highly secure messaging in a complex network environment Demonstrable experience mentoring junior colleagues and sharing knowledge with second- and first-line teams Experience simplifying complex email estates Good PowerShell skills Proficient in written/verbal communication, and stakeholder management skills Desirable Criteria Proficient with supporting and delivering: Secure Email Gateways (Mimecast and Clearswift) MX Records and Email DNS Authentication (SPF, DKIM, DMARC) Email encryption (PGP, TLS, and PME) Cloud Fax Solution Email Journal Archiving (Enterprise Vault) Advanced PowerShell skills Experience migrating complex email solutions to Exchange Online Adept in Agile ways of working with delivery of tasks in a sprint methodology Knowledge of ITIL framework (understanding of Incident, Problem, Change) Don't hesitate to apply if you don't meet all the essential criteria. How this role fits into the wider Bank: This role is part of the Digital Workplace domain which is responsible for selecting, delivering and continuously improving a portfolio of digital services that help colleagues across the Bank to collaborate, communicate and be productive irrespective of role, device, or location. Salary and Benefits Information We encourage flexible working, part time working and job share arrangements. Part time salary and benefits will be on a pro-rated basis as appropriate. We offer a salary as follows: Leeds circa 55,280 - 62,190 In addition, we also offer a comprehensive benefits package as detailed below: Currently a non-contributory, career average pension giving you a guaranteed retirement benefit of 1/80th of your annual salary for every year worked. There is the option to increase your pension (to 1/65th) or decrease (to 1/105th) in exchange for salary through our flexible benefits programme each year. The Bank has the discretion to vary standard accrual rates and dial up and dial down rates at any time and to withdraw dial up and dial down options at any time.
