Our client in Newhaven, West Sussex is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assembler and Despatch worker to join their manufacturing team. This a temp to perm role for the right candidate. Hours of work: 8am to 5pm Mon to Thurs- 8am to 1.30pm -Fridays. 12.71 x 39.5 hrs per week = 502 per week PLUS-Holiday pay on accrued hours- Equivalent to 26,100 per annum when transferred onto a permanant contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for assembling components and products with precision and efficiency, ensuring high-quality standards are met. Also to ensure that correct procedures in packaging are followed. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop technical skills within a dynamic warehouse environment, contributing to the production process of various goods. Duties Assembly of wooden picture frames and products following detailed specifications and diagrams. Use hand tools and power tools to secure parts and complete assemblies Inspect assembled items for quality, accuracy, and adherence to safety standards. Maintain a clean and organised workspace to facilitate efficient workflow. Collaborate with team members to meet production targets and deadlines. Assist in the packaging and DESPATCH DEP T in preparation of finished products for shipment. Follow health and safety protocols at all times during assembly operations. SAFETY SHOES REQUIRED. Skills Previous factory working experience with an understanding of assembly processes Proficiency in using hand tools such as screwdrivers and pliers. Experience with power tools relevant to assembly tasks Previous warehouse experience is advantageous but not essential Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity Ability to follow technical instructions accurately Good organisational skills with the ability to work effectively within a team environment Please be advised that the working hours may increase from October 2026-ie Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm - 42.5 hrs per week.

Our West Sussex client is a specialist mechanical engineering manufacturer and is now seeking to recruit a Business Development Manager (Export). They work globally in a specialist market and are proud to be the only UK manufacturer of this type of product. This is an export sales position (region to be discussed/agreed), with limited UK sales activity. General Responsibilities Support existing customers and dealers Expand customer base Identify & appoint new dealers Follow up existing clients from extensive database & generate new enquiries Increase market share Raise Company profile Attend exhibitions Typically one week per month overseas travel Based at the factory, North Worthing, West Sussex Experience/Attributes A basic understanding and interest in mechanical engineering is preferred. If you can demonstrate an interest and understanding of mechanics you would also be considered. 3 years proven track record in sales of specialist capital equipment (e.g. pumps, industrial cleaning equipment, industrial plant, rotating equipment etc.) Export sales experience & working with overseas dealers would be an advantage, but not essential. Our client is looking to recruit a Maintenance Engineer for their engineering site which is based in Littlehampton, West Sussex.They are a leading global manufacturer of castings for automotive and defence industries. It would be useful if you had experience in the following fields: Electrical & Mechanical Maintenance of manufacturing plant and systems (Hydraulic/Pneumatic, Gas burner controls, Electrical Control Panels, PLC Control systems, Overhead Cranes). Qualification Requirements; Maintenance/Technician NVQ level 3 discipline or equivalent. We will consider applicants that hold IMI LEVEL 3/4 Diploma in vehicle maintenance & repair. Qualification in an electrical engineering discipline is also desirable. Role Description: You will be responsible for key maintenance of all essential plant and machinery within the foundry, heat treatment plant and machine shop manufacturing unit. You will need to oversee routine maintenance and organise repairs. Your role is vital to the efficiency, development and progress of manufacturing output and control of product through the business. Your objective working within our manufacturing team leaders will be to improve production facilities, reduce the incidence of costly breakdowns and develop strategies to improve the reliability and safety of plant. Responsibilities: As a maintenance engineer, you'll need to: Carry our routine maintenance work and respond to equipment faults. Deal with emergencies, unplanned problems and repairs. Undertake planned preventive maintenance of plant and ensure staff are trained to carry out systematic review of plant. Diagnose breakdown problems. Fit new parts and ensure equipment is working correctly. Design maintenance strategies, procedures in order to control and improve health and safety standards for safe machine operation.
