We are seeking a detail-oriented GIS Specialist to support the manual geocoding of approximately 10,000 residential addresses across three of the UK's leading longitudinal cohort studies: NCDS, BCS70 and Next Steps. Working with ArcGIS Pro, historic Ordnance Survey mapping and AddressBase data, you will identify residential property locations and assign accurate property centroids and, where available, Unique Property Reference Numbers (UPRNs). This role requires excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to resolve incomplete or inaccurate address information using a range of spatial data sources. The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience: A degree in GIS, Geography, Urban Planning or a related subject (or equivalent experience). Experience of geocoding and working with GIS software, particularly ArcGIS Pro or QGIS. Strong analytical and data management skills, including data quality assurance and basic SQL. Excellent knowledge of the geography of Great Britain. The ability to work accurately and independently while managing deadlines. Strong communication and organisational skills. Desirable experience includes working with longitudinal datasets, Ordnance Survey data (including AddressBase and MasterMap), historic mapping, and the British National Grid coordinate system however this is not essential. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong GIS skills who enjoys solving spatial data challenges and contributing to high-quality research that supports nationally important longitudinal studies. Contract till the end of December 2026 Occasional office attendance at the Bloomsbury Office but not necessarily every week. Pay Rate: £23.11 per hour PAYE plus holiday pay or £31.34 per hour paid via a Umbrella Company (Annual Equivalent is £43,981)

Our client is currently looking to recruit a Project Engineer on an 18 month contract Project Engineer Teesside £450 - £550 per day - Initial 18-months We are seeking an experienced Project Engineer to join our Projects team and play a key role in the successful delivery of a major engineering project based on Teesside. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on engineer who thrives in a site-based environment and enjoys coordinating complex engineering projects from construction through to completion. Reporting to the Head of Projects & Design, you will act as the company's on-site representative, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality standards are met, maintaining health and safety compliance, and supporting the successful delivery of the project on time and within budget. Working alongside the design and project management teams, you will supervise civil, mechanical and electrical works while ensuring the highest standards of workmanship, safety and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate subcontractors across civil, mechanical and electrical disciplines. Assist in delivering projects safely, on time, within budget and to the required quality standards. Monitor progress against programme and report project performance. Inspect equipment and completed works to ensure compliance with design specifications, quality plans and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs). Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, SHEQ requirements and company procedures. Manage site safety documentation, inductions, briefings and ongoing compliance. Coordinate with design engineers to resolve engineering and construction issues. Support the planning and coordination of site resources. Manage temporary works undertaken by subcontractors and liaise with the Principal Contractor's Temporary Works Coordinator. Attend supplier premises when required to undertake Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs), pre-delivery inspections and technical reviews. Build and maintain positive working relationships with customers, suppliers and project stakeholders. About You You are a practical, organised engineer with strong site management experience and a commitment to delivering projects safely and efficiently. Essential Requirements ONC/OND, NVQ, City & Guilds Level 2 in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent engineering qualification. Recognised Health & Safety qualification (SSSTS, SMSTS or equivalent). Valid CSCS Card (or equivalent). Qualified and experienced as a Temporary Works Coordinator or, as a minimum, a Temporary Works Supervisor. A minimum of five years' experience delivering mechanical, electrical or civil construction projects. Strong understanding of CDM Regulations, SHEQ legislation and ISO Quality Systems. Experience working with Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), quality inspections and testing procedures. Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a project team. Full UK Driving Licence.
