Income Generation Consultants | Defence Estates | SC-Cleared | £500 - £900 a day Inside IR35 DOE | Primarily remote | Ad-hoc travel to London and/or Andover Pigment is a change and transformation consultancy. We partner with other consultancies, government departments, and private sector organisations to deliver a "one team approach" for solving complex change across public and private sector programmes. We are seeking several Income Generation Managers/Portfolio Leads to drive commercial opportunities across a complex defence estate. Working across a significant portfolio of infrastructure, our team will identify and deliver innovative income-generating opportunities that maximise estate value while supporting sustainability and operational priorities. Our team will: Identify and deliver commercial opportunities that generate sustainable income from estate assets. Lead commercial projects, programmes or portfolios, ensuring opportunities are aligned with wider estate and organisational objectives. Develop business cases, commercial strategies, financial appraisals and investment proposals. Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders to embed commercial thinking across the estate. Ensure opportunities are delivered in accordance with governance, legal, regulatory and security requirements. At senior levels, provide strategic leadership, and influence investment decisions across the wider estate. Our consultants will have experience in: Estate management, asset optimisation, or income generation within defence. Developing and implementing commercial strategies that deliver measurable financial returns. Business case development and investment appraisal. Negotiating commercial agreements. Operating Model Design Lead | Capital Projects | SC-Cleared | £500 - £800 a day Inside IR35 DOE Pigment is a change and transformation consultancy. We are seeking an Op Model Design Lead to support the design of future operating models for defence capital programmes, ensuring organisational structures, governance, processes, roles, and ways of working are aligned to strategic objectives and enable the effective delivery of major capital infrastructure programmes. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of Target Operating Models (TOMs) for defence capital programmes and portfolio functions. Assess current operating models, organisational structures, governance arrangements, and business processes to identify improvement opportunities. Define future-state organisational structures, operating principles, roles, responsibilities, and accountabilities. Produce high-quality operating model documentation, process maps, governance models, organisation charts, and executive briefing materials. Support change management and stakeholder engagement activities during operating model implementation. Required Experience Experience designing or implementing operating models within defence capital projects. Experience facilitating workshops with senior stakeholders. Defence & Aerospace Certification Advisor | Midlands, UK | Hybrid | Inside IR35 Pigment is a change and transformation consultancy. We are seeking an experienced Defence & Aerospace Certification Advisor to support our work in helping advise organisations to achieve industry certifications and improve compliance. Our consultant will assess current capability against recognised defence aviation regulatory frameworks and provide clear, practical recommendations to help achieve and maintain certification. These certifications may include but are not limited to: MAA: Military Airworthiness MAA DAOS: Design Organisation MAOS: Maintenance AS9100/EN9100: Aerospace Quality Our consultant will: Assess organisations against Defence Aviation Authority and Military Aviation Authority regulatory requirements. Conduct certification readiness and compliance assessments. Identify gaps between existing processes and certification requirements. Produce detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations. We are seeking a Safety Critical Engineer to join our team, supporting the design, development, integration, and in-service support of complex safety-critical systems. This role is integral to ensuring that submarine systems meet the highest standards of safety compliance. Our engineer will leverage their expertise in submarine, naval, aerospace, or nuclear industries to contribute to robust safety cases and risk assessments. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain safety cases for submarine systems and equipment. Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments.
