         Engineering Manager - Fire & Security    Location:  Manchester, UK  Employment Type:  Full-time Permanent   Salary : up to £45,000 basic.   About the Role   We are seeking an  Engineering Manager  to lead our Fire & Security engineering operations in Manchester. This role involves overseeing the design, installation, and maintenance of fire and security systems, ensuring that all projects meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.  The ideal candidate will combine strong leadership skills with deep technical knowledge of the fire and security industry, driving excellence across projects, people, and processes.  Key Responsibilities    Team Leadership & Management       Lead, mentor, and develop a team of up to 5 engineers fostering a culture of collaboration and high performance.     Manage workloads, resource allocation, and team development to meet project and business goals.     Provide ongoing training, guidance, and professional growth opportunities.      Project Management       Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of fire and security system projects, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and budgetary targets.     Review and approve project designs, plans, and deliverables in line with industry standards and client requirements.     Collaborate with internal teams to monitor project progress and resolve issues proactively.      Technical Expertise       Serve as the technical authority for fire and security systems, offering support on complex designs and troubleshooting.     Stay current with technological developments, regulations, and best practices in the industry.     Ensure all engineering work meets relevant standards and codes of practice.      Client & Stakeholder Relations       Act as a key point of contact for clients, addressing queries and maintaining strong professional relationships.     Partner with the sales team to support technical input during pre-sales and tender stages.     About You       Proven experience in a leadership or management role within the Fire & Security industry.     Strong understanding of fire detection, CCTV, access control, and intruder alarm systems.     Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.     A commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.     Relevant qualifications and certifications in Fire & Security engineering or management.
