Responsibilities As a Health and Safety Manager, you will play a crucial role in overseeing and implementing safety measures for our client's £100 million steel frame construction project. Key responsibilities include: Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety policies and procedures specific to the construction project. Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate potential hazards, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and site personnel to promote a strong safety culture throughout all project phases. Provide guidance on safety issues, risk assessments, and method statements. Investigate incidents and accidents, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. Keep abreast of industry developments and best practices, integrating them into the project's safety program. Qualifications The ideal candidate will possess: Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager in the construction industry, particularly in large-scale steel frame and manufacturing projects. Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels. Main contracting experience within Data Centers and steel frame/manufacturing sectors is highly desirable. NEBOSH or equivalent qualification in health and safety. In addition to a competitive salary of £60,000 - £75,000 per annum, the successful candidate will receive a comprehensive benefits package.
