POSITION DESCRIPTION: As an industrial engineer you will have responsibility of presenting the statistical data required to plan, monitor & by analysis challenge, the labour requirements across the Production facilities. The scope of delivery is during the strategy phase of vehicle development, ensuring that the programmes deliver to their timings and HPC targets and then continue to deliver efficiency targets. This is achieved through having a comprehensive understanding of the Production operating parameters, the deployment of the Industrial engineering QOS, benchmarking activities, Design for Assembly (DFA) analysis in the virtual world, allocation planning, method study & synthetic time deployment. To determine the most effective way of optimizing both the people and facilities and deliver quality products. Working on new vehicle and model year programmes to ensure the achievement of programme manpower targets, through the deployment of industrial engineering / lean techniques. Reporting to a European supplier of leather upholstery/trim this role will be based onsite at a luxury automotive OEM in Warwickshire. Duties will include: Examining products, ensuring they have attained the required quality such as surface defects like scratches, cracks, misalignment, discoloration, or improper finishing using the naked eye or with magnification tools as needed. Adhering to detailed guidelines and criteria to consistently identify potential issues based on established quality standards. Separating conforming products from non-conforming ones, marking defective items for rework, repair, or scrap. Reporting identified issues to quality control personnel or production teams to initiate corrective actions. We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our Human Factors Ergonomics team to deliver our customer requirements for our future vehicles. This role is ideally suited to a skilled individual with a background in Human Factors, Ergonomics, Anthropometrics, Product Design or Design Engineering. Key duties include, but not limited to: Lead development of Human Factors requirements, in order to deliver the best customer experience. This will include collaboration with key stakeholders around the business including Engineering, Design, Programme, Commercial and many more Lead Human Factors input into the development of our future vehicles and brands - evoking empathy for the impact to the Human Factors Attribute of vehicle development decisions; using innovative and visual communication methods. Lead the timely completion of Human Factors assessments &/or gateway testing, to aid in issue resolution.
