All your technical production skills will be used here; mechanical, pipe fitting, electrical connections and reading assembly drawings for a company who make large bespoke barriers and gates. You ll be part of a team producing precision components used in a very complex device designed to save lives. These components are produced on highly advanced CNC machines and you will be responsible for their preparation before and during the anodising process You ll be checking components against engineering drawings and then transfering the components to the anodising process Some components require masking to protect surfaces from the chemicals used You ll need commercial experience in anodising, etching or plating, demonstrating safe handling of hazardous chemicals There s lot of available overtime on rotating shifts 6am-2pm Monday to Thursday, 6am-12 midday Friday and 1.45pm-10pm Monday to Thursday and 12 midday to 4pm on Friday Basic salary is £35,000 plus 22.5% shift pay = £43,600 before overtime and annual bonus This is a very clean, modern factory and doesn't smell CV not ready? Yep, you read that right You re going to assemble rockets! They re surprisingly small, about the size of an empty toilet roll but they contain small mechanisms that require your full attention in assembling the right way. You ll need to be able to read assembly diagrams, engineering drawings and use hand tools to ensure small components are assembled correctly and in the right order. You will be carrying out the following tasks: Assemble manufactured components to technical specifications and quality standards. You ll be analysing the process by which cars are repaired then formulating new procedures, tools, jigs & fixtures design and the adoption of new technology to optimise effectiveness Identification of best practices undertaken by competitors and the automotive manufacturing sector will also be included so these procedures can be adopted and integrated into current activities Your analysis and recommendations will be integrated into training plans for new and existing technicians combined with the design of new tools, jigs and fixtures Your continuous improvement expertise should be from the manufacturing, service or repair sector of automotive, consumer durables, domestic appliances, power tools or similar industries and you must be able to demonstrate a high level of expertise in engineering, manufacturing or complex repair processes A knowledge of utilising hand tools, power tools and adhesives combined with driving through new best practices will be ideal This role can be fully remote based from home with regular visits to the Surrey Head Office, nationally based service centres and 3rd party tooling suppliers CV not ready?
