You ll be part of a team producing precision components used in a very complex device designed to save lives. These components are produced on highly advanced CNC machines and you will be responsible for their preparation before and during the anodising process You ll be checking components against engineering drawings and then transfering the components to the anodising process Some components require masking to protect surfaces from the chemicals used You ll need commercial experience in anodising, etching or plating, demonstrating safe handling of hazardous chemicals There s lot of available overtime on rotating shifts 6am-2pm Monday to Thursday, 6am-12 midday Friday and 1.45pm-10pm Monday to Thursday and 12 midday to 4pm on Friday Basic salary is £30-35,000 plus 22.5% shift pay = £36,750 - £43,600 before overtime and annual bonus This is a very clean and modern factory CV not ready? You'll be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of a wide range of 3, 4 and 5 axis CNC and manual lathes, mills and turning machines. Some of these CNC machines produce components to a tolerance of 10 microns so your expertise and attention to detail is vital Their machines are DMG Morri 3/4/5 axis, Stars sliding head lathe, Herco and XYZ Lathes You'll be managing PPM schedules, undertaking preventative maintenance and responding to unexpected breakdowns to ensure production and quality targets are kept Your hours are Monday to Friday 8am to 4.45pm (12.00 midday finish on Friday) so no night shift or weekends - There is however plenty of overtime and a bonus - This company is busy with a full order book After the CNC machines have been repaired, calibration testing will include electrical safety check so you ideally need a City & Guilds 18th Edition Electrical Installations. They re surprisingly small, about the size of an empty toilet roll but they contain small mechanisms that require your full attention in assembling the right way. You ll need to be able to read assembly diagrams, engineering drawings and use hand tools to ensure small components are assembled correctly and in the right order. This is a low volume, high quality production environment Your targets are quality not quantity There is plenty of available overtime, no shift work and the working environment is spotless You ll like them.
