The successful candidate will inspire learners, support academic progress, and help students achieve their GCSE English qualifications. This is an hourly paid teaching role, ideal for experienced educators or industry professionals with teaching qualifications. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare and deliver engaging GCSE English Language (and/or Literature) lessons. Teach and assess students in line with the GCSE curriculum and awarding body requirements. Monitor student progress and provide timely, constructive feedback. Prepare learners for examinations and controlled assessments. Maintain accurate records of attendance, achievement and progress. Provide academic support and guidance to students to help them reach their full potential. Contribute to course development and standardisation activities. Ensure safeguarding, equality and diversity policies are upheld at all times. Essential Requirements A recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, DTLLS or equivalent). Degree in English or a related subject. Experience teaching GCSE English. Strong classroom management skills. Excellent communication and organisational skills. Commitment to student achievement and inclusive learning. Desirable Experience teaching resit GCSE learners in a further education setting. Familiarity with current GCSE specifications and exam board requirements. Experience supporting learners with additional needs.

The successful candidate will support students in developing their literacy skills and achieving their GCSE English qualification, including resit learners. This role is offered on an hourly paid basis and is suitable for experienced further education lecturers or secondary teachers looking for flexible teaching hours. Key Responsibilities Plan, prepare and deliver engaging and inclusive GCSE English Language (and/or Literature) lessons. Teach in line with current GCSE specifications and awarding body requirements. Assess, monitor and track student progress, providing clear and constructive feedback. Prepare students effectively for examinations and coursework assessments. Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of attendance, progress and achievement. Provide academic and pastoral support to learners where appropriate. Contribute to curriculum development and quality improvement processes. Participate in team meetings, standardisation and CPD activities as required. Ensure compliance with safeguarding, equality and health & safety policies. Essential Criteria Degree in English or a closely related subject. Recognised teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, DET or equivalent). Experience teaching GCSE English. Strong classroom management and organisational skills. We are working with a Secondary School in SW London who are looking for a full time PE Teacher to start in April until July. There is a potential permanent role available in July. This role will be paid on a daily rate and all candidates must have an in date enhanced DBS. The successful candidate will be teaching Physical Education up to GCSE.
