A friendly design practice has been awarded some great contracts and as a result are excited to grow their team again with a Junior Interior Designer or Junior Interior Architect. This role will offer you a great opportunity to join a local friendly team supporting across projects including refurbs, design and build and fit outs for well known multinational companies in the Hospitality sector. Experience or a particular interest in working across schemes in either the Retail, Hospitality or Commercial sectors would be preferred and as this is a Junior position prior experience in practice on live projects would be advantageous but is not essential. However you must hold a relevant degree in the Interior Design/Interior Architecture field and live within a commutable distance to work in the office, 5 days a week. We are not looking for someone to relocate for this role. We are looking for a local individual to the Buckinghamshire area who is a strong communicator with a passion for working on fast paced projects and someone whom is keen to have an involved role in a close knit team. You will need to be organised and able to manage your time frames for producing drawings and be able to be a flexible and adaptable part of the team. With good knowledge and experience in using either in degree studies or in live projects- AutoCAD, Sketch-up and Photoshop are also highly desirable. This role will give you great experience working across multiple projects including on both the interior and exterior of schemes of various project values. Key duties of the role may include: - Assisting on initial designs and creating hand sketch drawings to convey design ideas - Using AutoCAD and other software's, producing interior and exterior details specifications & drawing packs - Assisting with design proposals, construction details, visualisations and schedules - Working as part of the team and liaising with external consultants You will be an integral part of the team working on simultaneous projects at any one time in helping to deliver to project completion. This is an ideal opportunity to join a growing practice and have the chance to have involvement in project stages with long term career progression.
