Responsibilities: Oversee daily activities of electrical operatives and subcontractors. Conduct pre-start safety checks and enforce electrical safety standards. Issue and manage permits to work. Ensure all test and inspection documentation is completed accurately. Report progress and issues to the Project Manager. Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with specifications. Ensure project deadlines are met. Provide on-site technical support to operatives. Visit sites to measure and assess material requirements. Lead toolbox talks and safety briefings. Main Duties: Manage and control electrical projects from design through to installation and commissioning. Liaise with clients, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution. Support design and production teams throughout the project lifecycle. Prepare and maintain project documentation, ensuring all records are accurate and complete. MEP Manager Opportunity - Leading Main Contractor - £1bn+ Turnover MK Search are working with a tier 1 Main Contractor who have a strong presence in the residential, commercial and life sciences construction sectors, they are also one of the UK s oldest main contractors with a long history of growth and a £1bn + turnover. They are looking to engage with an experienced MEP Manager to join their Southern business unit for a number of major residential projects they have recently won in Guildford, Woking, Basingstoke or along the South Coast. These projects consist of £5m-£15m of M&E services and are in early phases, you will get the opportunity to join a growing team with clear progression prospects outlined from the start. Requirements: Minimum 5 years' experience in a MEP role within the construction industry. Recognised qualification in a relevant discipline. We are currently working with a leading M&E contractor with a turnover of 300m and a strong national presence delivering flagship projects across sectors who are looking for an electrical project manager to work a night shift on a sizeable 24MW data centre they are delivering in NW London. The initial phase will run for 12 months with the next phase likely to be secured soon meaning long term work in the location for many years to come. Duties Include Lead team meetings to engage, motivate, and improve performance. Report aspects of the project to clients, Directors, and any other relevant stakeholder. Liaise with Design & Coordination to ensure the delivery of design/working drawings capture any additional cost, programme delay, or external influence that may affect production. Delegate activities within the company project team, while building strong working relationships. Management of the procurement process. Be an advocate for best-practice health and safety. The successful candidate will possess previous experience in project management and the data centre industry. You will be proactive, self-motivated and client focused.
